The worst they can do is to send a secure message to have the linked account removed and then to add their account instead.lcooper said:Qyburn said:
That implies an assumption that apps are inherently secure without any need for passwords or other security. By default I would call Chip 0FA, "Zero Factor Authetication", because by default launching the app gives full control of the account, no password or biometrics or anything. At best you can add a four digit PIN.Zaul22 said:It's not a requirement to be on the list but out of the top few: Chip, no because it's an app in the first place. Cynergy, basically yes. I use FaceID for Chip. The worst a hacker could do with my Chip account is make a withdrawal to my linked current account. I
That's not what happened when I changed my linked account. Did it happen to you, or to someone you know? What happened then?

Chip has never been in the list. It's above the list as DYOR, a holdover from when they didn't technically pay interest and looked at lot more dodgy. It has probably earned a place by now but it's not like anyone is unaware of them anyway.0

I'm talking about the one on the main MSE site rather than on this forum:Zaul22 said:Chip has never been in the list. They were on that list last week, above Kroo.1 -
I find that the accounts making the MSE lists can be rather random. I use Al Rayan quite a bit and often their accounts aren't shown at all, even when they have a competitive rate (yes, I know they are shown at the bottom of the tables if they are shown).boingy said:

They were on that list last week, above Kroo.'Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it; he who doesn’t, pays it' - Albert Einstein.0 -
That's exactly what happened to me. Secure message, some waiting (more than 24 hours actually), confirmation from Chip.lcooper said:grumbler said:

Sent money to Newcastle BS during the weekend. It's about end of business hours of Monday and nothing arrived yet. Should I be worried?0

Newcastle simply returned the money, it just arrived back where I sent it from. No explanation, email or any communications from Newcastle BS.10_66 said:Freedommm said:Sent money to Newcastle BS during the weekend. Their T&Cs say should arrive same working day received if sent before 4pm.

That sounds bad. What did they say when you complained?

Did you use your reference number in the reference field so that they can assign it to your account?0
