Yeah - that’s the case with all their accounts for ‘security purposes’. Part of the reason I didn’t bother - I imagine in 14 days it’ll no longer be competitive, and I’d be reluctant to fund if I couldn’t withdraw - especially given the IT problems.wiseonesomeofthetime said:Yorkshire Building Society Internet Saver Plus 13
Just in case not mentioned elsewhere, "You can't make withdrawals for 14 days from the opening this account".
At least that's what it says in my YBS app.If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

Personally I've just added it to my collection of EA accounts with £1 balances, along with issues 11 and 12 of their internet saver, in part to generate a £1 debit card payment from TSB and in part on the off chance the rate becomes competitive at some point in the future. If at some point after a fortnight the rate is still competitive and I need a temporary home for some savings to be parked for a few days before moving them elsewhere, I may end up adding some more funds into YBS, but for now £1 is all they're getting.ForumUser7 said:

I would imagine/hope that YBS will resolve these issues within the next fortnight so I'm not worrying too much about their current technical issues to be honest (though I do have great sympathy for those wanting to make withdrawals today etc).1 -

Looks like they will upgrade the rate and I suspect issue 5 is going NLA being replaced by issue 60 -
They issued that statement prior to last increase and didn’t dispense with issue 5 , and given its showing in issue 5 already I can’t see they will change the issue .pecunianonolet said:

FBS show a handy rate history. Other providers could learn from them.
