How fast is FBS with pay in and out, cut off times, etc. Not sure if I want to bother opening another account as I am quite happy with Chip and their seemless in and out and the no fuss appraoch.
I’m unsure what to do about this account - I.e. at the current rate, funds will be going from it to my RSs in one month. I don’t know if I can be bothered to set up an account with a new provider for 0.05% extra on a smallish sum for such a short time. Then the question becomes would I close the account or would I just leave the £100 min balance there - genuinely don’t know. Would be good to have to maintain membership in case they release any good products in the future, and also to avoid having to wait for the postal verification code again I suppose - usually more than happy to stick a speculative pound in accounts, but I haven’t bothered with Harpenden BS or Family BS because £100 has much more earning power.

Your answer is exactly what I was thinking as well and I also can't and don't want to keep a reference on top of all the other things I already track about all the various cut off times.

I don't currently have an account with FBS but I'm curious about their policy on debit card deposits as shown above.

If I'm understanding correctly debit card deposits before 5.30pm on a working day get added to the account and are available for withdrawal the same day? Presumably they start earning interest from the transaction date too.

This policy seems different to other banks and building societies, who usually require at least two working days before the funds start earning interest and become available.

Is this right? If so it would become an attractive option for the Halifax Reward account debit card payments each month.

Sainsbury's Bank Defined Access Saver Issue 46 - 4.21% (tiers apply)

Principality Online Double Access Issue 2 -> 4.30%

Family Building Society Online Saver (5) doesn't appear to be stated at 4.35%, rather remains at 3.95%

As it's an ac I hold, I can confirm FBS O/l Svr iss5 is showing 4.35% on the account. I expect the link to update when they get their finger out.

Gatehouse Easy Access increasing to 4.15% from 4th July - Source email and also showing on the account once logged in.

Not going to convince me to move any money though.

For those who open an Family Building Society Online Saver (5) today. Does anyone know if it will go up to 4.35%?
