Yet another Newcastle Building Society question! I have downloaded their app only to be greeted by the message 'Set Device PIn. We noticed you haven't set up a PIN on your device etc. etc.' How do I 'set device PIN'? Is it a NBS PIN?
    Thank you for any advice.

I believe it means you must have an unlock PIN set on your Android phone. I've seen a few banking apps which refuse to work if your device doesn't have a PIN set.

This NBS issue 1 (now closed) really was a no brainer to have.
It will have to go up every time the BoE raises rates and by the full amount.
    It`s easy access, unlimited deposits/withdrawals.
    On sale Wed. closed today.
Rates are going nowhere for a very long time.

Some can remember the days of 15/17% mortgage rates, never mind 6%.

Me for one. My daughter and hubby were complaining last year about how much their mortgage had gone up and the rate. Am sure they didn't believe me when I told them ours was well into double figures years ago.

Yep, me too - 14% mortgage when we got married.  My son didn't believe me either when he took out a fix last year at less than 2%.

Mortgage rate was 16 per cent when we bought our house in 1981.

In general or for a specific provider?
