Not having a passport or an ID, as any European country having ID cards, is probably the most backward thing. Same with address verification and having to bring utility or council tax bills for proof of address. Everyone at the age of 18 should automatically be on the electoral register based on the council registration via a central database and address linked to ID card. Would make things alot easier. Anyhow, this a very different topic not for here.
Tandem, are you sleepting on your 3.5% while many others have taken you over? Zopa, are you taking the same sleeping pills? All cleared and with Chip now.
Wonder if they make any moves this week and trump the 3.71%. Would be nice to see 3.8%+ in easy/instant access.0 -

It appears that a deposit of 1k into this account for a full year would only gain £4.25. At least that's what it says in the blurb above. An error I would hope.Bridlington1 said:Hanley Economic BS Branch Saver now pays 4.25%. Minimum balance £1k. See:

Appreciate this is not an easy access account, but may be of interest to some.- Fantastic. I have this account and had given notice to withdraw - I shall be staying now. Monthly interest too.
