    Kroo App , oh dear , I suppose could be related to phone iPhone 5s , it doesn’t even like it’s own security code picked up directly by phone .
    An iPhone 5s is nearly 10 years old by now so you would expect to find an increasing number of issues, including no support for the latest iOS. It seems extremely high risk to run any banking apps on a backlevel OS.

    Tried it on IPad , neither message code or telephoned through code worked , their system seems to be either useless or overwhelmed by MSE highlighting it .
    I think they are overwhelmed. I can't get the app to work either, and I have an Android phone.

  • Re Kroo. I managed to get signed up through the app today. A bit laggy but not troublesome.  Awaiting approval.

    For those who have gone via TCB…..it says when redirected from TCB to Kroo website that purchase not eligible for cashback if made via the Kroo app but as far as I can see once landing on Kroo website you have to download the app to apply?

    The rate increase was announced yesterday, and word travels fast in cyberspace regardless of what's televised.

    It's a current account from probably the smallest and newest UK bank. Considering Monzo and Starling offer virtually no interest, I was surprised Kroo even added 2% interest last month. I wondered whether they had the infrastructure in place to support increasing the rate above the best unlimited easy access rates, and they palpably do not (yet), but I can extend them a pass considering the reportedly negative (or worse) experiences from far more established entities.

    For Kroo to pop up out of seemingly nowhere (comparatively) and offer the highest interest rate for unlimited instant access since 2012, and on a current account no less (that isn't even three months old), is a welcome shakeup to the industry.
