  • Plus up to 11th Feb, Chip is paying the 3% as a bonus, which I believe can only be withdrawn upon full removal of funds. From 11th it will be 3% interest and that can be removed any time.

I do like Shawbrook (when they are not inundated).

Saw this update this morning and logged in to message Shawbrook to convert the existing EA account to Issue 32.  Just had a look and all done.  Happy camper.

Apparently so according to comments earlier today (ranciduk 12:12).
    £1k minimum is for the 2.92%. <£1k = 0.05%.

thanks - I must have missed that post... looking back at previous statements from when I last had a Shawbrook account, I was able to fund with a £1 test deposit.

Which account is paying the highest interest that is accessible via an app?
    My guesses -

Nationwide, FlexDirect - 5% (for up to £1500)
    Chip - 3% (for up to £lots)
Though Nationwide is only for a year.

Club Lloyds monthly saver is at 5.25% though (£400/mth max)
    Surely Zopa - 2.86% to 3.26%

    First Direct - 7% (£300 pcm)

The 7% First Direct is definitely not an easy access account.

Kroo App , oh dear , I suppose could be related to phone iPhone 5s , it doesn’t even like it’s own security code picked up directly by phone .

  • Tried it on IPad , neither message code or telephoned through code worked , their system seems to be either useless or overwhelmed by MSE highlighting it .

An iPhone 5s is nearly 10 years old by now so you would expect to find an increasing number of issues, including no support for the latest iOS. It seems extremely high risk to run any banking apps on a backlevel OS.
