I have just opened a new 3.00% HSBC bonus saver and sent a nominal amount via an existing HSBC savings account. However I switched my HSBC current account a few months ago and now I have no payees in my HSBC online accounts.
Furthermore, I cannot set up a new payee from an HSBC savings account and therefore cannot transfer any money out of HSBC.
It looks like my only option is to open a new HSBC current account.
Just thought I would share this with others thinking of opening this savings account.0 -

Where have you read this?
I didn't. This evening's Martin Lewis Money Show (timestamp 09:32) was all about savings and interest rates.
"That's actually the best, open to all, easy access savings with unlimited withdrawals we've seen since 2012."

Kroo again - I signed up yesterday with (little) hassle. My TopCashback account shows 2 pending entries, one for zero the other £20.
TC also states that a £50 "minimum investment" into Kroo is required. Was that requirement there yesterday and I just missed it? Do I need to fund Kroo to get the cashback?0 -

Unless my memory has failed completely I don't believe that there was mention of a funding requirement in the TC offer yesterday. There was mention of the cashback amount for opening the account - £20.
I stuck a tenner in the Kroo account yesterday, just to check it was open and functioning. I've got a couple of entries in TC (zero and £20, both pending). Doesn't look like there's a correlation between adding cash and getting TC credits.
I'll put it down to the fact they are getting mobbed by new applicants at the moment. Might just top-up to £50 just in case.

He's mistaken
Feel free to personally correct him on Twitter. I'm sure he'll advise his researchers not to feed him misinformation next time.
