I was, and am, genuinely curious if there has been an account offering unlimited easy access since 2012 (better than 3.03% AER), that wasn't full fat S123. I figured it was perhaps a rate increase on a withdrawn/loyalty account and/or from a niche building society.
According to page 200 of this very thread there was some chat about a Santander esaver issue 5 paying 3.2%

    this is confirmed here:

    That's dated 2012

Yes, which is presumably what Martin Lewis was claiming when he said “That's actually the best, open to all, easy access savings with unlimited withdrawals we've seen since 2012.”

Have a look over on the Budgeting board, there’s a Kroo thread. Not very busy. They use faster payments like all banks. What will happen if the MSE Massive hits them is anyone’s guess.
App locked up after verifying my phone number and entered some of my details. Now won't let me sign up as details already entered, when trying to login it refuses to text me.

What happened when you contacted them about it?

The in app chat went unanswered.

I've not had time to phone them. I'm not sure if I want to give a company money that has these issues sending text messages

    Surely Zopa - 2.86% to 3.26%

Just wondering how people find Zopa?
Setup an account with them & tried doing a test transfer of £2 to it. Took about 2hours!
Doesn't fill me with confidence when it comes to withdrawing.
    Thanks
I use Zopa all the time, never had any issues. First few withdrawals where ‘slow’ but within the FPS limits and now they are approx 20 minutes, even on a non-banking day.
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing

They're certainly not as fast as Tandem, but I agree with others 15-20 mins is the usual for Zopa. Don't forget there are two parties to a Faster Payment. It could be the receiving bank was slow to process the incoming FP, not Zopa being slow to send it out.

It’s Zopa that are slow and 20-30mins is typical. Don’t see this as a problem. Banks can handle SIPs in slightly different ways and you’ll find the big banks are pretty immediate. Suspect Zopa use some sort of queueing system and a sweep of some sort runs at intervals to process any payments.

20-30 minutes may be your experience but it's not mine (or others who have also posted their experience already) so describing your experience of Zopa's performance as "typical" may be typical for you, but not typical for others.

I was explaining how an element of FPS works. If you request a payment just before a sweep runs in Zopa systems your payment could appear to be almost instant. If you just miss it, 20-30mins is typical. When organisations do changes they will go into stand in mode which means inward payments to them will queue and outwards will also be paused so you could be waiting hours. The specifics of how Zopa operate will only be known within the company but I do know how Faster Payments works as I’ve had a lot of involvement with it so I do know what I‘m talking about.
  • I've made many deposits into Zopa and all of them are consistently taking 20 mins so nothing to do with your place in a queue in this case.
