Can anyone tell me when i will receive my £50 voucher? i filled out a form.
Should i look in my email trash? Switch completion date is 10.6.19.

    Was it this 'form'...

    https://www.santanderreferafriend.co.uk/claimamazon.php

Terms say you can't claim before the switch completes, so submit it (again, if already done?) on Monday/Tuesday after your old account closes or you get an email from Santander saying switch is complete.

    Use copy/paste to avoid typos.

You usually get your voucher in a couple of weeks but they say allow upto 30 days.
  • Not a peep from the Bank Fairy on Friday, for me! ;)

Did anyone else receive any voucher emails? ....or glean any insider knowledge of when the next "payment" run may take place?

No reports here or elsewhere - they were due to send some out yesterday but looks like a delay. I understand it is a very popular promotion and is keeping them very busy.

I wasn’t trying to get reasons for the account closure, more just to vent and find out whether something similar happened to someone else as I’ve never been accepted for an account and then several days later have it rejected. I just find that odd. I’d understand if they rejected it when I first opened it but to send the card and then close it is weird. I would have thought any secondary checks would be done before any cards were sent out.

A bit annoyed as I applied for 2 donor accounts from Halifax and Lloyds respectively (which I know are part of the same banking group). Applications were successful and even received my Halifax card but then received a text saying that the application for a current account was unsuccessful. Called up to enquire but they couldn’t really tell me much besides to wait for the letter with the explanation. Also happened to the rest of my family members so might be that they saw a few applications from the same household at around the same time and thought that was odd during their manual checks. Who knows? Not sure if this happened to anyone else. I already bank with Halifax so didn’t think I’d be rejected and that’s 2 other applications I could have made. Not sure if it’s worth going into branch?

By the way, is the 18th of June the last day for switching or the day when all switches should be completed by?

No, existing bank account is still there and still able to use it. Hopefully that doesn’t change.

Just to note this exact situation has recently happened to a family member too with the same banking group - new accounts applied for, accepted online and a letter received a few days later saying after a review that the application had been unsuccessful.

I had a phone call (as have others) confirming I had opened the accounts and asking why, they seemed happy with my answers and accounts opened, but they didn't get a call. Their existing accounts still work, new accounts will not allow the balance to be transferred online and needs a phone call/visit to branch .

If anyone plans to phone Voucher promotion phone number next week, maybe could ask at same time if claim screen will be available on 18th, 0800 number said to me yesterday that they are best people to ask.

As others said previously on claim form it states "claims must be made before 18 June 2018"

    https://www.santanderreferafriend.co.uk/terms.php

"they can claim the two £50 Amazon Gift Cards no later than 18 June 2019"

Cant post link to this :

"A £50 Gift Card will be sent to qualifying customers via email those who have been given a referral code will have until 18 June 2019 to switch and claim their vouchers."

Promos could make it much clearer - 23.59 on 18 June (or 23.59 on 17 June) would have been clearer, so we will have to see what they say/what happens.

Has anyone (either referrer or referee) received vouchers that were claimed on 29 May yet? My first vouchers came through after a week, but the 29 May haven't turned up yet.

No, and I'd say it's far too early!

The general experience seems to be about 3 weeks or more after a claim so if you had some a week after claiming that was exceptional.

We are currently waiting on claims from 26th and 29th May and an outstanding one from 10th (which we were assured was being dealt with but hasn't been yet). Plus a couple from last week.

My last received vouchers were from a claim made on the 22nd of May. I've still yet to receive vouchers from my claim on 23rd May.
