Just noticed that the offer terms now include the following:

"Within 30 days of the claim being submitted and the switch completing, you’ll both receive an email containing a £50 Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards. If for some reason the claim wasn’t successful we’ll also let you know via email."
Well you got thanked so I guess others have seen it, too..

    But I don't see those words here - https://www.santanderreferafriend.co.uk/terms.php

Is it me? Or is there 2 sets of terms now?

Yes 2 switches into same account after waiting for 1st switch to complete before starting second switch resulted in - 2 x 50 Amazon vouchers :j

Good news, thank you. How long does the Switch telephone call take, please? Just considering whether to transfer other accounts into an existing Santander account, or to open new accounts. I normally find the telephone processes torturous - when I downgraded a 123 it took about 30 mins (effectively a new account opening) and they insisted on reading out every bit of paperwork you would normally read (skip :D) online.

    Many thanks

I did 2 switches (solo & a joint) on the same call in 17 mins in works hours ...which may not be peak time.

BTW you can downgrade to Lite on line.

PS I got declined opening additional accounts which is why I phoned. ( I have multiple Santander CAs already).

It's in the FAQs, so not in the T&Cs strictly speaking, you are right.

Wife and I have been using the recommend each other technique with a possible £1000 in Amazon vouchers up for grabs :)

We initially opened a Santander everyday account each, and then switched a Natwest account each (ones we had for previous switch bonuses) over the phone. All went smoothly and we have had our £100 each for recommending each other for that switch. It's a bit long winded switching over the phone though.

We needed another 4 accounts to switch, so opened TSB, Lloyds, Nationwide and Halifax accounts each. All of which we already hold existing accounts with, so was done online with no problems.

Once we received the cards for these, the plan was to open more Santander accounts online and switch at the time of opening to avoid having to switch over the phone. Did the 1st ones switching the TSB, but forgot to tick the notify by email of the switching process, so waiting for our Switching numbers to come through the post.

Next 2 done online for Lloyds and Nationwide, remembered to tick the box this time and notification came straight through. So at this point we had 4 Santander accounts each. Just one to go, and it was refused. Fair enough, surprised we managed to get 4 each to be honest. So the last account which is Halifax will have to be switched over the phone to the 1st Santander account we opened and have already had the switching bonus for :)

Time will tell if we manage to get all the vouchers.

I already had a 123 lite account (joint with the wife) and a monthly saver. I managed to open 4 every day current accounts before being refused a fifth.

Just wondering if you did the applications all at the same time, or staggered? I'm assuming they also had no issue with you saying the account you had with another bank was only open for a month?

First one switch completed on the 5th of this month, so I guess I opened the accounts a week or so before that. 2nd one I opened and switched about a week ago (switch still not complete yet). 3rd and 4th done together yesterday. No problems with stating switched account only open 1 month.

I try and say as little to them as possible, in fact they say more to me than I say to them - " I would like to do a switch please", reply "another switch" :o

Debit Card expiry date might give bit of a clue of how long an account has been open, I certainly not keen on posting stuff on forums that is kinda laughing at a company who have an ongoing promotion running, worth remembering T+C does allow Santander to end the promotion early if it wants to and some of us want to keep a few of our switches e.g Tesco as late as possible

I am on my 6th and 7th switch mostly via long standing accounts, nothing at all to be gained by running ongoing forum commentaries , possibly everything to lose

It never ceases to amaze me that there appear to be people who seem to think banks are not able to read an open forum, especially a forum owned by Martin Lewis.
