Hi Richard
That's not your polite way of saying I went into too much detail was it?:rotfl:

Absolutely not, it was a superb account of the Court proceedings.:A :A
It's just what people need to read when they're facing bankruptcy; I honestly did feel as though I was living through it. You described the trepidation beforehand, the compassionate way you were treated, and then the relief and tears afterwards; superb.:T

Aw, shucks
I still now can't get over how absolutely lovely everyone was, especially the judge. I'm not quite sure how I was expecting to be treated (stocks..... rotten fruit & veg perhaps?) but it certainly wasn't like that. I really do hope that reading about our experience helps anyone who is considering BR. You will not be treated like a criminal. You will not be made to feel ashamed or small. You will be treated kindly and with compassion and with respectYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

I'm not that brave reallyI was shaking when I told Barclaycard, but it was the fact that the woman was so nice that gave me the strength to argue back with the woman from CDUK. It was thanks to this place that I knew my rights and that I knew that once I'd give her my BR number there was not a solitary thing she could do then
When did you got BR? Are you still being hassled by creditors now? You should let your OR know if you areYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

I couldn't agree more..
I have actually suggested to Scarlett that she write a book on the whole experience. Her 'way with words' is always amusing, helpful and make compelling reading.....0 -

I would like to say thanks Scarlett for your BR diary- I am going BR in about 3 weeks. Altho CCCS, National Debtline have been great, this forum and the BR diarys have been the most help as its peoples real experiences. BR is scary, but reading this makes me realise there is light at the end of the tunnel and the court (hopefully) isnt going to be so bad. I wish you well for the future.0
