Symbio Energy feedback

If I tell the Cheap Energy Club I am on the E.ON SVR tariff called Next Flex it tells me:
Unit rate 20.391p per kWh Standing charge 24.866p per day
Presumably this may differ a little according to where you live. Figures include VAT.Reed0 -
Woohoo, that's just a 60% rise! It's all relative though, we'll still be paying a lot less than our vulnerable relatives who've just been pressure-sold a fixed tariff by their big-six supplier. They were told it was their best rate - I guess that they don't recollect them saying it was the lowest (fixed) one, not the best rate full stop. I suspect a lot of this is currently going on, they'll all be happily helping elderly people to move from the capped rate to a nice expensive fixed one.2

My dd was due to be taken on 8 October but have now cancelled it. The owe me £37.00 and that is enough to cover any outstanding amounts. Also my new supplier has now set up my meter details on the account and requested a meter read. However will give it the day before switch. Also Symbio have said they require a picture of the meter and read on switch day. Surely given the information to the new supplier should be enough.0

Where have Symbio stated this? I don't see why any of us should do anything Symbio say, they don't exist any more. You've already switched to Eon, the switch date was Sunday 3rd October.Follow the link on this page, they are asking for a reading as close as possible to this date, I'd assume that today would be absolutely fine.

i'm not entirely sure why everyone is so impatient and panicky about finding out the unit rate/sc from eon next and doing multiple searches/quotes as soon as eon next has been announced as the solr.
We already know its going to be broadly based on the cap, just like every other supplier. Prices are rubbish at the moment, we all know this, there's little benefit in switching at the moment as there is very little cheaper around unless you want to take a punt on neon reef who may or may not go bust soon.
Surely just relax, most of you have enough credit on your symbio accounts to take some of these increased charges. Wait for the account to be transferred over and reassess.
At least the symbio hatred should stop now.....as have the excellent prices!4 -

If you are unaware of this switch, please contact us so that we can accordingly object to this. If indeed you are moving away, we request you to provide us with a meter reading along with the meter picture on the day of the switch. The meter picture is required to validate the final reading, that we receive from your new supplier. We will process the final bill as per the final meter reading we receive from your new supplier.

Fair play to Octopus Energy. If you try and get a quote from their website, they advise you to stick with whoever your current supplier is and not bother getting a quote from them.
I only just found out yesterday that no supplier allows you to simply join them on their SVT. I was looking for a Big Six alternative to staying on So Energy for my gas once the gas fix ends with them.2 -
