Symbio Energy feedback

Bulb told us their next move would be to reduce their prices. Somethiung to do with Ofgem they said. All suppliers were having to reduce their standard, variable rates.0

Which is an absolute load of rubbish, they will only have to reduce their SVR if it is above the new cap level therefore expensive.
No it's not rubbish.
Some suppliers have already started to reduce their SVR rates, others will follow.
Bulb told us they would be reducing theirs too, before the implementation date of 1st October.
Are you saying Bulb were lying to us? We'll see who's talking rubbish...0 -
Bulb's reasoning is rubbish, not the fact that prices are falling. Prices are falling because the wholesale cost is falling and that is reflected in the OFGEM cap. Only those SVRs that are above the cap level will fall significantly and, once the new lower cap is implemented and winter cost increases start to hit, many fixed and variable tariffs will likely rise. Bulb will need to make significant cuts to make them competitive.0

Just had confirmation from Santander that they WILL NOT pay 2% cashback on Symbio Energy direct debits because Symbio use a 3rd party billing company. They will only pay cashback when the energy company itself does the direct debit.0

It’s worth complaining to Santander - am sure they have paid cash back on direct debits for other energy firms who use Go Cardless to process their payments.0

@gt94sss2
Given that Symbio are also charging me VAT twice on my bills and not answering my emails, I doubt I'll be hanging around with Symbio anyway.0 -

Santander told me they just need the ORN of the DD and they will put it on their list.
I have found a DD form on line and it shows as FastPay Ltd Re Symbio Energy Ltd.0 -
Santander is hit and miss with many things. They pay cashback for Yorkshire Energy, although it's not listed on their website. But they do list the non-existent 'Yorkshire Electric' !0
