£20.22 in credit (or 160 kWh) as of now, I am sure I can lose that in the fudge :)  DD cancelled !
  • Well that saves me trying to phone them Saturday morning & sitting in a queue for however long

Hope they haven't taken too much money off too many people
  • Ive just gone to my bank for a D/D Charge back and the bank has credited me already. See if the bank wants to take it back again.

I would recommend that everyone do the following

    1. Log in to your symbio account
        a) Take a screen shot of the "my meter readings page" - all your submitted historic meter readings are there
        b) Take a screen shot of your "my payments" page - all your direct debit payments are there
        c) take a screenshot of the "tariff" page. - where it clearly states your unit rate and standing charge
    2. Ensure you have all your symbio bills (or at least first and last) - you can still try and click the button for it to be emailed now before the website goes offline

(if you were locked out of your online account because you didn't want to accept their terms and conditions, just accept it as they are now defunct anyway so it isn't relevant)

The SOLR process will probably be long drawn out and messy due to symbios billing system. If you have the evidence of meter readings and payment, you will have everything to hand to calculate the correct amount that you are owed or owe and can give evidence to whoever the new provider is to get your correct credit balance, just in case there are any problems.

I'm saying goodbye to 12p unit rate and 10p standing charge........hello 20p unit rate and 25p standing charge. :(

    Good luck!!
  • Just gone into my account and notice that they were now taking readings from my smart meter.

Shame - that was my only arguement with them.
  • Did Symbio supply Gas as well or were they Electricity only?

I am on a single rate tariff but with an E7 meter. Would this cause issues when I am moved?

Ah well, it was good whilst it lasted

I reckon that I've managed to save between £200 and £400 a year for the past five or six years. Let's see who we get and how much we are going to be stiffed with.

Interestly like PennineAcute my old SMETS 1 smart meter started giving them readings on 14th September although I've still gone out and taken a photo and sent in todays reading - just in case.

I've already got all my bills and statements downlodaed and the DD has been cancelled as they've already got a decent surplus.
