Oh I see. Yeah they send the pdf as an attachment with the monthly email for me.matelodave said:
I used to get the PDF bill from the link that they sent with the E-mail. I couldn't get it if I just logged into the portal myself, only the summary was available so it was case of downloading the bill as soon as it became available rather than hoping you could so it at your leisure sometime in the future. Dunno how others got on.niktheguru said:
Where do you find the pdf bills on the online account? I am emailed pdf bills monthly, but when I look at my online symbio account all i can see is that unhelpful popup screen when i click the bills section, which hasn't got the readings details you get from the pdf bill.matelodave said:I don't need a reminder - I just do it a day before the billing date. It's worked with most suppliers who then issue a bill a few days later (SSE only issued billing updates every quarter) but I still sent in a monthly meter read
However, even when you do send in a reading to Symbio they issue a bill and take a direct debit based on some fictitious amount they think you'll use in the next month. It does usually take into account your actual readings from last month so it's possible to end up with a negative bill although it doesn't happen very often. I found that Symbio usually sent an e-mail telling me when the bill was issued (although I used to check my on-line account myself, just in case they didn't). I always downloaded and saved it immediately because it doesn't seem to stay available for long. All you can then access is a summary of their previous billing, which as they were based on their guesses isn't very helpful if you have a problem in the future.
I'm now with Neon Reef and I can still access PDF's of all my bills right back to last year - although I still download and save them anyway as soon as they become available, jyst in case summat goes wrong0 -
Bills are only sent by email. The website is in the chocolate teapot category.niktheguru said:

As I've save all my e-mails in a Symbio E-Mail folder they've still got the PDF bill attached and I can still read and download them again if I wish, although I've also downloaded the PDF's and saved them in a separate folder. I have a healthy distrust of energy companies so make sure that I've got my own records of every document that they've ever sent (and that goes for all my energy companies, including the ones that have gone bust).
I'm not really paranoid, but as it's really easy to save and archive stuff then why wouldn't youNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Estimated usage for Feb 686, despite the last two months actuals being bang on 458 (I like to be consistent
)
Having just been forced to change tariff (again! only 2 months since the last change) it was interesting to note that they quote based on 4920kwh, when my EAC is 5716.
Given any form of negative public comment is apparently corporate cyber-bullying unless you've formally complained....I have done just that.0 -
As above, I save all the sent emails with the bills attached to my Symbio folder.matelodave said:As I've save all my e-mails in a Symbio E-Mail folder they've still got the PDF bill attached and I can still read and download them again if I wish, although I've also downloaded the PDF's and saved them in a separate folder. Anyone been double charged on their DD?0

Yep, well they took my first DD on 29 Jan (as my switch from SP to Symbio completed on 19 Jan) and then the same amount today, 1 Feb. I did get advance notification of these DD's by email, but thought it was a mistake. Let's see what happens next.m0bov said:Anyone been double charged on their DD?0 -

They're again in credit-default with Elexon and will also have their quarterly FiT bill to pay in a few weeks time (The one Ofgem have fined them for not paying on time before).
They'll brush off the double DD as a mistake, but don't be fooled, they're just trying to grab as much cash as they can before going under and leaving the extra credit balances to whichever supplier takes over.

Ah, so yes same as me. When you said you downloaded them, I assumed you meant from the website, rather than just saving the pdfs attached with the email.matelodave said:As I've save all my e-mails in a Symbio E-Mail folder they've still got the PDF bill attached and I can still read and download them again if I wish, although I've also downloaded the PDF's and saved them in a separate folder. Why not contact your bank under the Direct Debit guarantee and have them recall the last Direct Debit - your bank should do that with no problemPaoloWD said:
