Will need that to pay their Ofgem composTallerdave said:Massive estimates for February on the way then!Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0 -
Hmm... Symbio and Green seem to be battling out a price war.0

Neo coming out cheapest for me for dual fuel, with Green being cheapest for electricity.
I'd like to go for Symbio as they've confirmed to me they're in the process of joining the Warm Home Discount scheme, but their business viability is worrying me... The next cheapest WHD provider is London Power at £100 more expensive ...

When symbio use the term "in the process of joining" don't expect that to happen within the time of your contract. they've supposedly been in the process of organising smart meters for over a year too.elucidate said:Neo coming out cheapest for me for dual fuel, with Green being cheapest for electricity.

Looks like they are getting their wrists slapped again - https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/business/symbio-facing-100000-fine-for-late-payment-of-green-taxes/Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Think this is the same as the previous one on the last page. Good to see they've paid it now, live to fight another day.....surely its a matter of time before they go out of business, especially with the likely mass exodus of customers in the next few months if their tariffs are no longer the cheapest.matelodave said:Looks like they are getting their wrists slapped again - https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/business/symbio-facing-100000-fine-for-late-payment-of-green-taxes/0 -
They're already listed as a WHD provider on the GOV.UK website ... can't see them wriggling out of it. Unless they go the way of Simplicity and GNE ...niktheguru said:

They're also registered with the dcc (only cos they had to, dragging their heels) but don't see any sniff of smart meters, infact they've removed mention of them from their faqs now.elucidate said:

My point is symbio is just there to try and make money and entice customers by offering the lowest rates. They have no intention of providing any "add ons". Its really a no frills service. They may well offer the warm home discount at some point.....but they'll do it at snail pace.....even if they've already registered.0
