Here's an odd one, sent my meter reading on Monday 30/11 and received the bill today Wednesday 2/12.
That's a record since I joined in August 2019,anybody else receiving bills this early?.
Usual seasonal Symbio entertainment having overestimated November by 150 units, they have now underestimated December by 100 units, you couldnt make it up.
Expecting a new year hangover, though on the plus side my December bill is for £20.75.

Mine was for £10.50.... yes i got it early same as you!
  • I changed to Symbio a year ago in March. Their rate per Kwh is way under anyone else I could find, and even the MSE comparison site says I am on the cheapest rate (9.6p per Kwh, and 21p per day standing charge). I know some standing charges are lower, but as a high user (two households in one property) it is the Kwh rate that is important to me. As a comparison, Scottish Power has just offered their rate to me of 15p per Kwh and 19p per day standing charge.  2p per day cheaper is only about £7.30 per year, whereas 6p per Kwh on a usage of 13,000 Kwh makes a big difference. They don't seem to be recommended on the MSE site though. Even if they do go under, I will have saved a lot by changing to them for a year!

Yes, mine arrived within 3 days of sending in the reading.  And it was correct - more or less!
  • PS I was on Bulb before Symbio, but the rate was so much cheaper, it was a no-brainer. No problems so far, although the last direct debit they took seemed very high, so I am checking that, although I have just started putting the heating on so that may account for it. They took the first month's estimated payment, according to what I had been paying Bulb, when I started with them, so it was only payment at the beginning of the month instead of at the end. It should even out overall.

2nd Oct. 3rd Nov. 2nd Dec for me.
Used to be around the 6th. Last month 700 est vs 390 actual (and I added a few units to make it a round number).
This month they estimate 550 which is going to be 100-150 ott.  My fix ends on 31 Jan so looking forward to the shenanigans in late December wrt alternative suppliers switching / or alternative tariffs from Symbio.

No meter read requests in November.  So must be sure to submit readings anyway on Hogmanay!

    Received my bill today. Below:
Did not get the usual submit a meter reading, but put one in on the 30th Nov.

Your account is in credit with us for £-31.78, which will be carried forward to the next invoice.

You're getting the same estimates as me, with similar consumption. Is your EAC 5000kWh?

Got my December bill today and this month is the very first where their month's estimate is actually realistic.

My bill arrived today too, just £25-odd to make up for last month's overestimate. They overestimated for Dec by about 150 units
