Final Order from OFGEM now revoked
https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications-and-updates/symbio-energy-limited-final-order-0
On 10 November 2020, Symbio paid its RO obligation in full. On 13 November, the Authority published its notice of proposal to revoke the Final Order imposed on Symbio on 28 October 2020. The Authority was satisfied that the Final Order should be revoked because Symbio paid its RO obligation in full.

So, it looks like Symbio has cleared their RO obligation towards Ofgem. This has been posted earlier on their portal revoking the Final Order. Looks like Symbio is here to stay.

Probably out of all the extra cash they've raked in from the overbilling! Still, as a customer (contributor), I'm happy to carry on paying 11.4p/unit.0

On 11.599p/unit. At least they look as not going bust yet?
They charged me 4 times usage. And added a £25 exit fee to my tariff. So thinking about move.
Others about £60 per year more expensive.

That's going to make a fair few in this thread happy,isn't it?.Jo_Hric said:So, it looks like Symbio has cleared their RO obligation towards Ofgem. This has been posted earlier on their portal revoking the Final Order. Looks like Symbio is here to stay.

Can anyone confirm when Symbio Black Friday Monthly Plan 2019 ends? I’ve tried to contact symbio via email but as yet no response. My tariff started on 10 December. My last Bill says it ends on January 31st. But else where I’ve seen it stated as November 30th. Many thanks Sean0

However, having now (from 1st November) switched to SE's cheapest (for me), but variable, tariff I find on finally checking my November bill:
a) even though SE now have a full 12 months record of my usage they continue to over-estimate my projected usage by almost double;
b) even though my cheap rate usage is consistently between 70 and 80%, SE continue to project at their 42% figure thus further inflating the 'interest-free loan' demanded;
c) under the 'About your tariff' section near the foot of my bill they are showing a (sneaky) £25 exit fee - which is not applicable on this new variable tariff; and
d) the 12 month PFP fixed deal I am moving to, offered via MSE CEC, is (for me) only a few pence per month more than the variable SE tariff to which I switched, and £40+ pa cheaper than SE's cheapest fixed deal.
So, as a somewhat reluctant switcher, it's a no-brainer. I just wonder if I'll get as much amusement by going with PFP.I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a self-satisfied pessimist0 -
I hope for those of you still with them they don't further jack up the overestimates next month, to cover the loss of the RO money and refund credit balances of people who left.
