  • Oh dear... The website itself is up, but the Customer Portal (My Account etc) isn't.  Coincidence?

Are you still their customer or have you transferred away in the past few days. It might just be a glitch but on the other hand may be something more serious.

You should always download and save your stuff as soon as it becomes available rather than when you get around to it or when you realise that something might be going awry, because by then it could be too late. Once the website has closed you cant get hold of historical stuff and you can get into the quagmire of trying to sort it out.

A monthly download means that your records are never more than a month out of date and it's far easier to sort out a one month anomaly than a twelve month one

Same error for anyone wanting a quote. So not just existing customers.

If they do turn up their toes, I'm wondering how the SOLR is going to sort out the strange billing, especially for those who didn't send in meter regular meter readings. I'm thinking that it's probably a good idea to start reading and recording your meters readings on a weekly basis for the next few weeks just in case.

Hope for the best but plan for the worst

You cant contact them easily or quickly at any other time by phone, dont expect today or moving forward to be any better.
Still no update on Ofgem regarding Symbio at the present time, probably anything of note will be there first.

And if you have left them don't try contacting by e-mail because they disconnect that e-mail address from the account as soon as you leave and only the registered e-mail address can be used in connection with the account - you couldn't make it up !

I have spoken to Symbio today at 14.00 hrs and and they advise they are having technical issues re their app and online service. Their technical team are working on it and hopefully by tea time the matter will be resolved. I pressed him about the situation with OFGEM and said that had now been settled. At least I could speak to someone on the phone but not sure I believed a word of what he said. However time will tell!

IMHO I think the game is up for them!

They were tweeting/posting on FB a few times a day until the 22nd October. Their last reply on Trustpilot was on the 23rd October (a Friday). Their last price change for new customers was also on the 23rd October.

May just be a coincidence, however it looks  like they've potentially let go of some staff already?
