  • Because the directors can get a short-term pay out through their wages will leaving everyone else to pick up the mess.

If people are against directors/suppliers acting this way then they should re-think always going for the cheapest tariff.

We have also just have just received a renewal email from Symbio as we joined around a year ago.
The thing is though we changed our tariff to the  Low, Fair and Green 2020 Variable V2 tariff in April 20 which is due to run until the end of April 2021..

Would think a variable tariff runs until they end it??
Got an email today confirming Symbio sent me the renewal email in error.

Just got my final bill.  I had to do some severe thinking to see if it was correct but it was.  My previous Sept estimated bill was for £44.20.  My DD was £41.00 so I owed £3.20 on the estimate plus I actually used £6.59 more units with £0.34 less standing charge days which I worked out at £9.45 and they calculate £9.42. My total calculation using the correct prices over the whole contract was a final debit of £12.64 and that does not take into account the unbilled £52.42 when my account was in erroneous transfer limbo when it seems no one was supplying me.  The only query I have is that the e-mail states they will take the fixed £41.00 DD amount so fired off an e-mail. I have just cancelled the DD and made a card payment so they won't be able to take it anyway !

i'm not sure they got my final bill correct....
it seemed to me i had already paid the standing charge for my final month, yet i was charged it again on the final bill (as far as i can make out). it seems only the adjustment between estimated/actual use is on units used.
i queried it with them but they don't seem to understand my point or are just pulling the wool over my eyes??

The final bill will be a re-bill starting from the same point as the original bill.  That is why I had to do some thinking, their system doesn't make it easy, and work it out the way I demonstrated.

  • When are symbio sending out their renewal option emails, I'm within the last 50 days of my fixed term, but received nothing as yet. A bit of googling indicated a provider must sent it between 42-49 days of the end of the term, but I'm not sure if that is the latest regulation.

Mine came 49 days before end of tariff.
