Symbio Energy feedback

They do spout some utter rubbish. No sane person would guess that someone would use more electricity in May than they use in the height of winter. It's quite frankly insulting that they expect you to believe their heat curve ludicrous drivel. The advice needs to be - if you're switching to Symbio, give them an EAC of 50-60% of your actual EAC.0

i had no idea i had been missing out on cashback on my 123 account until i saw these old messages!Tafrock said:Thanks for that. My 3 missing rewards payments have been yet again queried by myself. If symbio is listed as an eligible company I expect to be paid
have put in a complaint but wont hold my breath!
seems very unfair though as who would know their energy supplier payment goes through a 3rd party

I learnt my lesson a while ago trying to engage with them over an outstanding payment. In the end it was sorted out to the point I was about £60.00 better off. Since then I pay my bills and accept their insane estimates and it is normally corrected the next month only to be again over estimated for the following month.0

They are the other side of the globe in Goa and so detached from life in Britain that, by 'heat curve', they probably assume we all use aircon over summer like they do. Actually, I do have an aircon (heatpump) but I certainly don't waste my money using it over summer for cooling.

I've always known a heat curve as being a graphical representation of the phase transitions something goes through as it is heated up.
Typically, there are plateaus on the graph that indicate those physical changes. i.e. as additional heat is added, the substance does not increase in temperature, but rather goes through a phase transition. (this is referred to technically as latent heat)
It sounds to me like Symbio Energy are going through a meltdown.

One more day to go and my meter read and at this moment in time is 347 units against a forecast for this month of 530 units. No doubt Symbio will do their usual thing and way over estimate for June. According to their estimates they seem to think my usage is higher in the warmer months. Also I do not need to work so my usage should not vary that much.1

normally give my reading last day of month (so tomorrow) but will try leaving it until the next day (1 june) this time to see if they use the estimate and i get some of these 'free' units others have mentioned!0

I'd thought of doing that but don't want to tempt fate and it all goes wrong for me again.carpy said:normally give my reading last day of month (so tomorrow) but will try leaving it until the next day (1 june) this time to see if they use the estimate and i get some of these 'free' units others have mentioned!1
