They send that email every month (although it doesn't usually take 4/5 days to arrive) but they still use the reading on the bill for consolidating the previous estimate with actual usage and handing out free kWh!
They sent me that same email twice, once on 3 Feb the day after I submitted my readings, and then again this morning saying exactly the same as the one of 3 FebA chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -
I got my bill today.
For me they have still over estimated the February's bill at 451 kwh when I use less than 270-280 kwh.
Also on my bill they have not used my reading for the 1/02/2020 but one Symbio have put down as E so it thinks that I use 28 units a day.
I will have a better look later but I don't think it will look any better.

Well again having a good evening until 21.50 hrs when my latest bill from Symbio arrived. This time they have excelled themselves by producing a bill for £98.00 when my usual bill should be no more than about £45.00 and usage about 400 kw a month. They have put it at 480 kw but not too worried about that. However this is the situation as follows:IMy original bill for January was £91.48. I paid this amount in two lots. One dd payment on the 9/1 for £55.00 and then a dd for £36.48 which covered the total amount to be paid. They then decided an error had been made and then produced another bill for the same period and reduced it to £45.91. As I had overpaid they refunded the £36.48 and that left £55.00 credit. That amount should then be applied to the revised January bill and leave me in credit of £9.09 to go towards my February bill. The Feb bill states £45.91 unpaid (no mention of the £55.00 received) and with the estimated use brings it up to £98.05.Therefore the amount I should pay for February should be £43.05. However after speaking to them this am they said fine we will deduct the £45.91 and pay them £52.14. I tried to explain this to the advisor the situation but its so difficult to get them to understand.
Also if I do not pay the full amount shown on the current bill then next month the £45.91 will still show.
I'm just at my wits end with this company and would appreciate any ideas to sort the matter out.

Recieved my bill again it's wrong, January payment not taken off amount owed. Meter reading not used, January revised estimate was well over actual usage yet they are estimating I will use more energy over 29 days in February than the over estimate for 31 days in January. Dd amount incorrect, dd date not as agreed. I had a phone call last week promising this months bill would be accurate. Emailed complaint. Think I will be switching before end of the month.0

Where do I start? The February bill has arrived
- Actual monthly usages Sep - Jan: 480, 510, 530, 527, 495. Feb estimate 658. No further comment required
- Charged for the 658 estimate as above, no problem. However the total bill is less than the cost of the Feb estimate, and there is no mention of "variance units" for January. A quick calculation shows that the difference is a refund of the cost of 102 units. This is in fact the variance between the units used from 13th January (when I stupidly put in a reading) and an allocated estimate. It just doesn't appear on the bill.
- My revised Jan bill gave me a "variance units" refund of 40 units based on the actual usage from 1 Jan to the 13 Jan reading against an allocated estimate of 255 units for the same period. I have still never been charged for these 255 units even though they have refunded part of it!
I know I should leave because they are inept, but part of me just wants to hang in there if only to see what else can possibly go wrong. Oh and I'm quids in at the moment.0 -
No free units for me this month as they ignored my reading, provided within the window they'd requested it in their email of 30 Jan
. But the over-estimation from January has been "varianced" out as expected. Their estimate of my January consumption was 90 units over and their estimate in advance for February is EAC/12 + 31%, so March's bill is going to be even smaller as all the over-estimating works itself out.
I look forward to their surreal explanation of why they've ignored everyone's readings. No doubt there's some scientific research that proves we all lie during January because of "winter changes", hence we should be ignored.griffb said:- My revised Jan bill gave me a "variance units" refund of 40 units based on the actual usage from 1 Jan to the 13 Jan reading against an allocated estimate of 255 units for the same period.
