Symbio Energy feedback

I just hope their cash flow forecasts include many millions for Ofgem fines as per the recent Ovo debacle:
Anthony Pygram, Director of Conduct and Enforcement at Ofgem, said “Ovo Energy billed a number of its customers incorrectly and issued them with inaccurate information.”
Sounds familiar.I'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a self-satisfied pessimist0 -
...by which time you've used up most of the credit. I'm not worried about a deviation of less than a month's energy cost (£50). Some people posting on the forums have credit of £hundreds, which is a crazy risk.Unless they go bust between those two bills as most people seem to think they will
I think it's a bit unfair to put Symbio's tactics into the same category. Symbio are just stupid and used ludicrous estimates in January - anyone that let it ride (me included) will hopefully see the status quo restored this month.devondiver wrote: »I just hope their cash flow forecasts include many millions for Ofgem fines as per the recent Ovo debacle:

Whether they go bust or not is another issue, considering how cheap they are and the fact that their broken billing system gives away free electricity. I do hope they don't and for an agreeable hourly rate I'm more than happy to explain to them where they're giving free electricity away to stop the financial drain on the company.0 -

No free electricity for you this month then !CRISPIANNE3 wrote: »Yes I was going to give them a reading on 1 Feb as well. . However I thought it would confuse them even more hence the reason for the one reading on the 31 Jan.0 -
I put mine in today for extra bonus units0

I'm not sure most people think they will go bust, unless that's people not with them. If they do, then it has been a good ride.
To me there is no worry as you get a variable bill every month so won't be racking up lots of credit. After January's over estimation, I emailed, they rectified it, I went about normal life.
I suppose if you are someone who stresses over everything then maybe not the best. I got a reply within 5 days, which to me was okay, I still have my energy, etc.0 -
No defence I'm afraid. Far from it. Cost Ovo £8.9m.:eek:Symbio are just stupidI'd rather be a disappointed optimist than a self-satisfied pessimist0
