    Morning all.

Today was going to be almost a day off - Rosie has a regular healthcheck at the vet's at 10.45, and the plan was to take her out afterwards to the forest, enjoy lunch in the cafe, including a dog sausage for R, and let her run through the woods for an hour with me while DH sat by the log fire in the cafe.

But yesterday DH received an appointment letter from the horse piddle to go in next Wednesday afternoon for a procedure that will hopefully put his heart back in rhythm - he's had this done before and all was fine for 5 years until the lung specialist took him off a particular drug because it has one particular possible side effect, but within 6 months his heart had dropped back into jazz and he has been miserable ever since. So today he absolutely has to go for his walk-in MRSA check before 3.00...

    New plan:
    - breakfast, then S&S kitchen
    - shower, then S&S bathroom
    - attack RoD until 10.00: yet more paperwork was generated yesterday as a result of (a) the consultation meeting and (b) a chance remark from somebody I met there about newsletters which I haven't received :(
    - take R to vets, then run her up on the big hill which we haven't visited for months, so she will be happy
    - DH to hoover through downstairs while we're out ;)
    - home, with just time for a quick mushroom omelette for lunch
    - take DH to horse piddle
    - on the way home, stop off at our local privately owned GC so that we can enjoy their display of Chelsea-winning hellebores and snowdrops and maybe have :coffee: there

Hope everyone has a productive day, especially Wish and Fayolle. Glad your OH stepped up to the mark at last, Jojo.

    Catch up later x

Well said, Mademoiselle. I now use my mum’s best cutlery set every day. Before then, I think it was used at Christmas and maybe 3 other times in something like 25 years. I use my decent china every day too, safe in the knowledge that I have not only my mum’s, but also my dad’s, in the loft to replace it when it gets broken!
    So far today I have
Been to the market in the small town
Been to Mr M and H0bbycr&ft in the bigger town. More photo boxes purchased as part of my photo cull project.
Swept the gravel from its various piles to more even piles on the drive
Changed the bedding and run the wm
Washed my hair and tamed it
Stripped part of a wall of its hideous wallpaper, to find equally hideous paint underneath.

Just stopped for some lunch as the smell of the fresh bread was too much.

So I haven't hoovered through but when shopping I bought some wool so rest of day off will now be knitting.
Spend less now, work less later.

Prepped the trays for putting the seeds in when we get back from London
    Ordered a dehumidifier
2xinternal recycling bins sorted into their outside versions in
Put the bin and 1 recycling bin out ready for tomorrow
Got cash to pay balances on blinds tomorrow

    Still to go:
Hhc: putting everything back in correct rooms
Friend coming to pick up a package
Pick up dried washing from Laundrette
    Pick up Pickle

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Just got the washing in, almost dry but it still needs an hour on the radiators to finish off - smells lovely though. It's been a nice day. The shopping was a bit up and down, loads of stuff missing because their computers went down, but the delivery driver appeared several hours later with a crateful of stuff he had left at the end and now there are only four things missing which I'll have to get refunded. Bless him for coming all the way back.

  • So, my 'extras' didn't happen last night as I was very tired due to doing so much during the day. My step counter says I did over 12,000 steps yesterday, which is impressive considering I didn't really walk far, obviously just round and round the house.
    Today's list:

    Pickle to Childminder's
    Diy shop shopping for decorator
Dehumidifier arriving (so needs unpacking and setting up)
    Put clean clothes away
Make sure everything is back in the correct room!
    Charge work phone
Print out work stuff for next week
    Check work emails
    Pack for London trip
    Make Chicken pie for tea
    S&s kitchen
    Clear windows for blind fitting
Empty food caddy and put out food bin
    Bring all bins in.

I'm sure I'll add to this as the day goes on.

    Morning all,
It’s been a windy night out so be careful if you are out and about and it’s the same where you are.
I’ve tackled a mountain of ironing this morning and emptied the dw. Wm is running and has to finish before I leave.
I was hoping to cross a few things off my work to do list today but that’s been thwarted before I start. I now have to take DD into school later which means popping out of work for an hour. I’m back at school this evening as well so I need to replan my day.
Wishing - you are exhausting me just reading your lists!
    Lamewolf - I hope you’re ok.
I might just have time to flick the duster around the LR before I go.
    Have a good day everyone.
