How to sue Together Energy

I pressed to have it rectified but they said it was within an acceptable range and I would get nowhere with it. It wasn't a large amount of money and I gave up in the end. They are a terrible company and should not be allowed to take on new customers until they can produce bills and accurate ones at that.
Thank goodness I got out before they took on OneSelect customers as it seems things have got even worse.
It's a shame you gave up. I did not give up over a dispute amounting to less than £5 and they agreed to pay me £30 for the low level of CS I received. If everyone did likewise such companies wouldn't survive (and perhaps Together Energy doesn't have long left).0 -
Ive just logged into my Together Energy online account as I have every month since the end of January 2019 hoping to see a bill but no such luck. I did see that they have changed their terms and conditions on 14th June. Looks to me like some underhand legal maneuvering going on regarding company ownership. Customers now have a contract with Together Energy (Retail) Ltd with the old company Together Energy Ltd becoming the holding company. It is possible this is a move to enable the retail company to go bust without it taking all the assets with it.
How does the ombudsman system word? I left Together Energy on 20th March. Ive been emailing asking for a final bill and my £400 credit back. I just get fob off replies. Do I just wait 8 weeks from a reply and if Together has not resolved my problem go to the ombudsman?
I dont want to delay it any longer I want my money back before they go bust!0 -

The original purpose of Eddington Energy Supply Limited was to purchase energy from the market and sell it to Together Energy Limited.
It is unclear why the supplier company has been remodelled into the operating retail company and the old operating retail company has become the holding company, but most often the reason for such restructuring is for the purposes of attracting investors and a capital injection. They need it with their Group operating loss for last financial year increasing to £6.9m up from £920k the previous year. I dread to think how much cash they burned through in the financial year just ended. How does the ombudsman system word? I left Together Energy on 20th March. I sympathise and empathise with you all. It has taken me 5 months of written formal complaints, telephone calls and cases to the industry ombudsman (useless and time consuming!) before eventually contacting [Removed by Forum Team] (co-founder of Together Energy) via Linkedin and explaining the wholly unacceptable situation. He promised that a 'Resolution Specialist' would be in touch with me to sort the problem out. I was sceptical but he did as promised and I have now received a correct final bill plus the £40 agreed via the ombudsman AND an additional £20 for all the inconvenience. What a relief! Give it a try.0

Unfortunately the name of the company director will probably not survive on here, but anyone can easily find it on Companies House should it get removed.0

This was the company to which the customers of One Select were transferred. It trades as Together Energy although of course its name is now Together Energy Retail Ltd.0

Hi. Quick update as I think I have had a success with trying to get my credit back. I sent an email to the Chief Executive of TE on Wednesday and had a call back the next day from a Resolution officer who has arranged my refund of my credit. It hasn't arrived in my bank account yet but I'm very hopeful that this sorry saga is over for me. Shame about this issue as the experience up until the day I left was fine. Good luck everyone else :-)0

You can claim through the Scottish Court a form 3D called Simple Procedure Claim Form, it can be down loaded from internet.
I did this and had my refund back in 10 days.
Together comes under Dumbarton Sheriff Court this is where the claim is sent to.
As with all small claims you can claim back amount owed, fee payable and interest.
you can phone on 01389 736464 they will send you the form 3D.
Good luck you may already have your refund by now, I've only just come across the thread.0 -
I hope Ouzy, (post 28th June,) Together Energy have kept their word and refunded your credit as promised.
To all others waiting for their money to be refunded I hope my post on how to claim through the Scottish court has been of some help to you.
This company should not be allowed to keep trading they are abysmal.
Good luck everyone.0 -
