He likes watching sports on tv and doing puzzles. He's in his early 80s and doesn't really need anything. I've got him and my Grandma a jigsaw and filled a stocking with goodies for Christmas. Might end up getting him a couple of CDs or something - i don't know. I'd seen a cardi in Matalan but they didn't have his size but they told me they were having more in so I thought I was sorted - when I went back they hadn't got any at all. It was really nice as well - a thick one with a nice furry lining.

    Hi guys

I've made lists! lots of lists! :D there's a list for everything all I have to do now is actually do/buy whats on them  just made a mini-hamper up for someone  I had two lovely christmas boxes that I bought for 50p each last jan sale, they were gathering dust as were the few sets of smellies DD1 didn't want (unopened) so I thought right! so I've done one complete with wrapping and bow and the other one's waiting for a few more bits and the wrapping! will post a pic when littley comes back with my camera. The plan is to use up all those little bits of things I've got lying about everywhere cause quite frankly I'm fed up of them now.

Still need to load the DW but I'll do that in a sec when I make another brew.
  • Hi eveyone
I've been absent due to busyness but have occasionally checked the lists to keep the house together (thank you pigpen and lil-me).
Thank you once again to pigpen who bullied us (and me) into listing on ebay - I've made about £200 from stuff I would have taken to the charity shop otherwise. i'm amazed- and very pleased.

I'm going to list some kids toys so i have questionfor you experienced ebayers

What do you package playmobil in to send it. Are padded envelopes ok if its not too big- eg figures/accessories?

    Thanks for help

I'm not an experienced ebayer I became very disheartened, but I would have thought padded envelopes would be ok?

Julie how about an electronic Sudoko? They have 20% off in BHS today and tomorrow maybe you could find a nice jumper in there?
  • Morning ladies, feeling a bit rotten this morning. Have been doing weightwatchers this week and saved a few points for some wine and enjoyed 2 large glasses last night but now feel rough:o is probably because I'm not eating as much as well! Huge thank you to Pigpen! DS2 slept ALL night after his piriton and is looking a bit better today! First nights uninterrupted sleep in a week!

So, well, you would think I'd get on with flying... but had a reminder from DLA about the form, so now while looking for form on desk, decided to tidy the desk and its 'filing system' of everything getting dumped on it...

Guns hope you feel better soon, I'd agree, 80mins in the cold is not good for you when ill! Best to do nothing today and rest...
