  • Good morning all! I've been a lurker for ages and it's really helped but I thought it was time I 'delurked'!!

DS10 is off to his Dad's today - so plenty of time to get things done - that's the theory anyway!!

For the last week or so I've been keeping my 'list' really short so I'll carry on for a while.

    List -
    Dishes
Laundry - to do, iron and put away
    Rubbish out
    Bathroom

Then I'll think about the rest!

    Looking forward to joining in!

    Amanda

    Hello all

Thought i'd better check in and let you know how i got on...sorry was exhausted when we got in last night!

interview went well, i think - i was in there almost 2 hours - hopefully that's a good sign. they seemed to really like me and i want the job so badly it hurts!!! they are interviewing (one more person i think) on monday and so i will hear on tuesday if i've got it and wednesday if not. thanks for all the thoughts and good wishes - it means a lot :)

after we (me & OH) went to the pub with friend who lost his dad this week - was good to see him, he is obviously hurting really badly though. OH was a bit worried about what to say as i was really late due to interview running on and underestimating the time it took to get there, but it was fine and meant OH and i had a deep chat too. 3 doube g&ts later we came home for tea!!!

not been up long, was v tired after several nights not enough sleep...plan is lazyish day (we are at OHs) and then we're nipping into town and OH is gonna buy me a new coat from blacks as i've been getting cold in the one i have, and as we'll be in cornwall in january for honeymoon i need a better one! :)

solway - hope it goes ok this weekend. i don't know much about ADHD but if it's getting to you now....

    Morning everyone!

*cough cough splutter splutter* OW!! Sore throat seems to have turned into a bug I think, or maybe all the shouting just made the bug worse. Went to a really nice infants school yesterday morning, but spent over an hour stuck on the motorway as there was a big accident that closed one lane. Hope nobody was seriously hurt! Got home with a really bad headache and my throat was so sore that I could hardly swallow, despite not having to shout for a change. Changed into my bedclothes at 4pm and curled up under a blanket on the sofa with a wheatbag and a film and ended up falling asleep in the middle of it.

BUT ............................................................ I got my first payslip yesterday, which made it all worthwhile, especially as I know that I worked even more hours this week than last, and that my payslip next week should be even better. :j I've also got bookings lined up for 2 half days and a full day next week already, so at least I know I have some guaranteed work. Will be off to the chemist today to see if I can find something for my sore throat - think Boots will be on the top of my list of places to go today. Have to do a food shop too, and must get on top of the washing again.

It's really dark here at the moment - the sky looks like it may snow, but I don't think that it's quite cold enough. Stupid cat has just asked to go out of the window when he has a catflap!

Well suppose I'd better get dressed and have some Yop for brekkie as it will soothe my throat. Will wash my hair tonight, as OH has the task of checking my hair for the dreaded N.I.T.S as I scratched my head this morning and found a louse (?) :o . Have gone through my hair with the nit comb this morning on my dry hair and didn't find anything else, but obviously I can't do it very well on my own, as my hair is so long and the perfect colour for headlice to camoflage in (mousey blonde). Sorry to anyone who is now scratching their heads!

    Hello All

Sat here at work eating Haribo Starmix:eek: , I know they will make me feel sick but they taste sooooooooo good:D .

Happy birthday to pigpens littley - hope you have a great day:j .

Well impressed with the sausage pot - DD1 yuck! DD2 not eating anyway, DH - liked it! Am totally amazed. So will do it again will just do plain sausages for littles.

Naff all flying done so far today. Littles have gone for a sleepover at nannies but not counting my chickens as if DD2 feels poorly she may want to come home. I am feeling rough too, my throat is still scratchy and sore and the fact that I was in DD2 bed with her from 1pm until 5.20am when she decided she wanted to start the day has just made me feel worse.

Think I may have 1 haribo too many - getting that sicky feeling so gonna go hide the bag:D
  • Just popping in to say hi while himself is taking a shower. I won't be flying today but got most of the dailies done as I was up at 7.30.

Glad the interview went well Rach, fingers crossed you hear on Tuesday!

Hugs and healthy vibes to those with the grots and croaks.

I'm being dragged to the Metro Centre today.. hmmm. In and out in an hour or at least the promise of a cafe/pub stop.
Might pop in later if I can get on my own laptop.. Remind me again why I decided I needed a boyfriend??:rotfl:

    Have a useful Saturday.

    Amanda

So is that a mis-type or do you really have more children than Pigpen? :rotfl:

Nice to see you here anyway!

I just went mad in my living room,

    Hoovered
    hoovered sofa's
    cleaned window
    cleaned PC desk
    Tidied away all the paperwork
Did some of the DLA form
Cleaned and tidied the shelve above PC desk
    Polished

and moved a load of junk into the kitchen... which is now even more of a mess than it was earlier....

So, still to do kitchen, S&S bathroom, Make beds, clean out car (smells really bad so will spray febreeze too) and do some washing.

but first, lunch and most importantly :coffee: anyone else??
