Afternoon just having a cuppa and a piece of cake.
Kids drinking hot chocolate with marshmellows in as a treat for helping carting logs - all sorted now and lots stacked for winter. Not enough for the whole time but we also have heaps of wood off cuts stored in the loft which can be used once this lot is gone.
Going to rake some leaves next before it gets dark and then sort the games cupboard with DS3 to see if there are any he nolonger likes. Hope to find time tomorrow to do a ebay listing of a few bits - not done any for a while. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Afternoon all :hello:
Managed to grab a lie-in until 11am this morning :j So I'm full of energy to get everything done but at the same time I don't want to
OH wanted to go out for a bit so I asked if he could pop to Argos and get me another maiden (one of the ones with shelves for me to dry jumpers on) so off he toddled with my switch card and PIN (Good job I trust him:rotfl: ) to buy the midrange one...he came home with the delux "wash basket & shelf & sock holder" version as the cheaper one was out of stock  So we just spent about 30+ minutes assembling it :rotfl::rotfl: Just as we finished the wash load I'd put on finished so already its being used
Right, need to go and shut all the bedroom windows and make the beds. The windows have been open since 2pm so upstairs should be nice and chillyPleasant change to how it was this morning though - like a sauna in our room but freezing everywhere else
Right...windows, beds & then tea :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

HI penny pincher. Not seen you for ages, hope you and your family are well at the moment.
I've managed about an hour for a challenge. I have swept all the laminate downstairs, pulled out all the furniture i can manage on my own and swept/hoovered under there, and have just emailed customer services of magscriber as a subscription i ordered for my friends birthday in september has not arrived yet and i made it 10 weeks ago so they can get theirselves into gear and get it sorted.
I found loads of charlie's missing toys under the sofa, and i am just having a sit down now wiht a cold drink while cooling down again.
DH is still out with Charlie, but i can't see that lasting much longer as it is almost tea time and charlie will start whinging and it is unbearable for too long. Fingers crossed the guy a) wants to buy my car, and b) passes his test next week.
Right, onwards while the energy is still with me.0 -
Afternoon everyone, not done to much yet. Went this morning for a lady's breakfast which was good 120 of us there
.
DD is feeling alot better today just grumpy and DS1 has been so badly behaved this last while that we've got a naughty chair but the problem is he thinks it's greatand keeps being naughty to get sitting in it.
WM hasn't been of this morning between our own clothes and things i want to sell on ebay. Did abit of our room last night and will finish it tonight.
Managed to finally get hubby's ipod to work, he said he'd make me a cuppa that was half an hour ago now, coats gone, dogs gone and ipod, think he's done a runner.
Right gonna have a cuppa reload WM and TD.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Evening everyone! I assume it's now evening, cos it's dark (is that how you define it?).
Today I managed to meal plan for the rest of the week, go to the market and buy some fruit for the week, do the Tesco shop and the Lidl shop, and buy myself a gingerbread latte at Starbucks when I was in town to make me feel better. I also spoke to the lady at the pharmacy in our Mr T about my throat, and she's recommended Tyrozets and changing the location of my supply teaching to a nicer area :rotfl: . Hope they don't taste too nasty, as I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to medicinal tasting throat sweets!
Bought a new shower curtain for £5 while I was in Mr T as our polyester one is beyond saving as I've tried everything to remove the mildew on it, but nothing has worked, so I've got a plastic one this time that should be easy to keep clean.
Also found an apple crumble reduced from £2 something to only 55p, so snapped that up as we'll have it with custard tomorrow night.Got all of my rolls for the week reduced too, so feeling quite pleased with my shopping attempt today.:T
Well done Rach for doing so well in your interview - I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get the job.
Vanilla that breakfast sounds good - was it for charity or something?
Thanks for the get well wishes Dusty. I was thinking about getting one of the Lidl advent calendars too, as I haven't had a chocolate advent calendar for years, so must get one when I'm next in Lidl - hope they haven't run out by next weekend as that is when I'll probably go next.
Hope you feel better soon Serena and all of the other poorlies on this thread.
Take care everyone!

Kids in bed, read another chapter of Astrosaurs (OMG, Santa is a Raptor!) and now sitting down with the DLA form and a glass of wine (well, red grape spritzer seeing as I don't actually drink). I may go do the dishes though, the form is beating me! I just know that I will have to do it all again when they try to cut it!0

evening all
well I've been shopping (stupid idea on my own with the kids but they wanted to bake) nearly threw lots of things in temper as the food processor I got this year won't work and I can't find the receipt. Baked some treats with the boys, fun but messy. Kitchen looks like a bomb site but I will tackle that in a mo. I need a coffee so will have to brave going in there at some point
sexymouse I always used to put our shower curtain in the machine, we've got a daft screen in the new house but I am tempted to pull it down and put a curtain up as it's useless! and a witchbag to clean. One day I might be more organised...........
