Hi all hope you are all a bit better today.

    Welcome Amanda and good luck
Pigpen hope you daughter has a day to remember
Rach fingers crossed you get the job
SM hope you feel better soon, treat yourself to a little something from you wages

Have been to town to take the clothes I brought yesterday back and replaced with 2 lovely girly skirts and a pretty jumper - much more me.

Picked up a pressie for one of the boys.
Got advent calendars from Lidl 59p and the chocolate is good
Emailed father-in-law with requests for kids pressies.
    Stared a christmas list

Booked a week in cornwall for the summer. Really expensive but we have not been to cornwall for years and the kids love it there and at least I don't have to worry about finding a holiday in March like I usually do.

Another cuppa and a trip to the loft and then it is time to everybody to help move logs.

  • Afternoon peeps!!

Not much flying done today, washing done, shopping done and I'm doing some baking at the mo. Already done some mince pies, jam tarts (thanks to DD&D recipie) and some museli bars for work next week, however with my next recipie I've hit a stumbling block and I'm sure one of you must know the answer!!;)

So please could one of you guys help me I would be ever so grateful, I've already done a quick search and can't find anything and I'm too embarrassed to start a thread to ask :o .
I need to "grease & baseline a tin with greaseproof paper", What do I need to do??.

  • Thought i would see where i am with this weeks list of things, and think about what i need to do over the weekend. Haven't read all the posts yet. Might not even be able to stay on the computer long enough to do that tonight as it is freezing!!!!

    Jobs to do this week:
    1) write charlie's birthday thank yous and deliver/post
    4) mark y9 test and homework
    5) write a homework sheet for y11 for tuesday
    7) put y7 and y9 test data on the computer
    8) make phone call about car insurance and take out the policy
    9) finish filling in the child tax credits application form.
    14) [STRIKE]wash charlie's wet bedding[/STRIKE]

    Job for DH:
    1) [strike]investigate buying a new car for me. Very good offer of a friend of FILs car has come up and we definitely need to upgrade, just weren't thinking this month. has took the buggy with him to see how well it fits in the boot[/strike]
    2) [strike]investigate selling my car[/strike]

basically then, not that much further than the other day in terms of this list but getting there otherwise.

    for the weekend then:
    • find out old payslips to work out when i was last paid my management allowance,
    • find P60 and fill in rest of child tax credit form
    • [STRIKE]find out registration of new car and find an insurance quote for it[/STRIKE] got one for 265
    • transfer money from savings account into our current account so we can pay for the car next week
    • [STRIKE]go to the dreaded meadowhall and tackle some more of the dreaded present shopping[/STRIKE] one nephew finished. A few more ideas worked out, and checked out some electronic stuff my parents want to buy for us so we now just need to shop round for the best price
    • write down all the stuff in my head into lists so i feel more in control
    • order xmas food stuff from bettys by post and sort delivery date
    • mark y9 books
    • iron all of mine and charlie's stuff for the week
    • strip/wash/remake all beds charlie's cot changed
    • [STRIKE]go to boots to buy toiletries we have run out of (particularly mouthwash and facial scrub) using pigsback vouchers[/STRIKE]
    • watch rental DVD and post it back
    • supermarket shop
    • clean bathroom
    • hoover through
    • wash the curtain for the hall door
    • wash my work stuff
    • [STRIKE]take my car through to show to guy who is interested in buying it.[/STRIKE] DH doing that now, and has taken charlie so i am sat in total peace - about to have a frantic half hour challenge though
    extras:
    • my car cleaned on inside and washed
    • bought a calendar and diary for next year, wrote birthdays and stuff on new calendar
    • washed towels
    • washed a load of charlie's lights after soaking for most of the day to get the red paint off the white sleeves
    • bought crackers for xmas

hopefully tonight our entertainment may be more exciting than both of us trying to hold still the cat so that DH could cut a lump of poo from his fur. Very exciting life we have here. Both in bed for 9:30 too.

LMS grease & baseline a tin with greaseproof paper

Grease the tin with butter (rub it all over) then cut out some grease proof paper to fit the base of the tin and lay it over the base of the tin. (the butter helps it to stick so should be easy enough)

If you draw round the bottom of the tin and cut it out it should be almost perfect.

    Good luck!!!!

I'm on a mission toady! LOL! FO complaint about PPI (the bank has not even replyed and have no record of any letter even though it was sent RD) filled out and in envelope, receipts for parking and fuel in envelope to be sent as expenses, and letter asking for safeguard cover to be refunded also in envelope. All I have to do is be sure to post them all recorded delivery on Monday and finish the DLA form and I'm laughing!

Now, I can take my go get em attitude to the kitchen and clean like I have not cleaned in weeks! LOL!!!!
  • Oops - by DS10 - I meant he is 10 years old!!

    And I've only got one!!

    Sorry about that!

We've just had a surprise visit from my Dad so anything useful has been postponed!!

So, off to get busy now!
    Amanda
  • Thanks Tia!! :T

I knew it had to be something as simple as that, but just wanted to double check. I'm so embarrassed tho :o .

Best go back I'm at the crucial stage, got to mix soured milk, dry stuff & butter, sugar & egg mixture together, in stages  . What's that all about? I'm tempted just to bung it all together and see what happens :rotfl:

See you later peeps, I'll let you know how I get on.
