Thanks G&B for the advice, it's abit like argos right but cheaper?Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0

Ikea isn't anything like Argos IMO, it's addictive! Have a look on their website www.ikea.co.uk I love going but always costs me a fortune! Agree with the avoid bank holidays and weekends but do get a family card if they do them in the store opening where you are.
Big hugs to those who need one, especially those with poorly littlies or unwell themselves. Nicki get the mask on to keep the germs out and send them all to bed!
Have had a productive day, got loads done, loads unpacked, shelves put up, DP sorted the music CDs and we ended up with a right mixture on today from Metalica to Russell Watson playing as we were sorting through. Managed to get the dailies done. Collected DS2 from school & even had time to call in at the park on the way home.
Then all went pear shaped when DS1 broke his glasses when he got home not his fault but the second pair in 2 days (he's allocated 2 pairs). I got DP to stay in as he was just about to set off for work while I dashed over to the opticians before they closed to see if they had a spare frame in but their supplier has changed all the frames, none fit his lenses so have had to order both of themso now I feel sick after the 10 mile journey & dashing around straight after dinner, he'll be without glasses for a week and he's a nightmare without them, effects his mood because he struggles to see.
I'm shattered now, would love to be able to go to bed now but of course the boys are still up so I can't...suppose I should get the whites wash in....One day I might be more organised...........

You know you walk into Argos and everything is in the catalogue well its not exactly like that. Ikea have rooms set up like this :
But they also have shelved areas like Asda or that for the smaller stuff.
If you want a piece of furniture (or even to get out of the place!) you take note of the info given on the label and then you have to go through this to find it and to get to the tills! :
First time I went it was a bit daunting, but now I could quite happily spend my entire weekends in thereSad I know.

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Good evening, all!
Just got out of bed. Last night shift tonight.
No kids/spare rooms to do today, so I took my 'kid' up to the moors for a bracing walk. The rain held off and it was beautiful in the early morning.
Apart from running off once and woofing at a Dartmoor pony, Shadow was very good and enjoyed the run.
She insisted in rolling in every patch of horse, sheep and cow poo she could find, and despite a bath when we got in she still smells like a stable!
Going to make myself some spicy prawns in a bit, then it's back to the grindstone again  can't wait til Sunday when I have a day off. At least the extra hours means extra pennies!Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

It is beautiful, and only 20 mins drive away.
I'm lucky where I live, Moors 20 mins way, beach 10 mins, loads of big parks. I love it.
