    Morning all :)
    Very cold and icy here, but no snow so far.
    Done kitchen clean up
    Need to do a shop later
    Post some ebay items
    Not much cooking needed as there is casserole from earlier in the week in the fridge. Will freeze what remains after tonight
    Plan meals for next few days, I have chicken stock in the fridge, so mushroom risotto will make an appearance :)

    Check banks and update spreadsheet etc. Grocery, cleaning etc spends dire this month as I have been stocking up :eek: Only bought things that will keep, and I will use though.
    Keep warm everyone!

    Ooooh, suddenly remembered I'd cashed in my Toluna points for £20 Waterstones vouchers, Had a look & they were there, so printed them off & updated my signature, as I like to keep a tally of my survey earnings. It will feel like such a lovely treat choosing something in Waterstones, or may keep towards a gift, who knows? Cleared out my stash of vouchers while I was at it, & reminded myself what else I've got waiting. Interesting email re car insurance...think I'll bore everyone with that on my dfw diary update. Makes me even more cynical about comparison websites.

    * Top up Pill box so I don't miss any. Done.

    * Research renewing my passport.Done.

    * Clear letter rack. Done.

    I would buy it but I just don't have a suitable garden for cane fruit. Too many trees (rented property so I can't do anything about it :( )

    I know CLF! Since I saw it I am in two minds as to whether to get it! I've given up half of my allotment and this would take 1/2 of what is left. Need to think whether I can be creative with planting :D

    I was trawling through the fb page and saw you have had a tough time at work. Sorry to hear that and know how it feels! Hope things look better now, or in the very near future x

    I have spent the last 2 hours on a job application. Just have the supporting statement now so going to have a break, sew and ponder. Have also seen another one that closes tomorrow as well. Going to be a busy evening for me today! Actually quite in to it now, after getting over my sulk of not wanting to be job hunting :o

    I was 90+% through then got a big red x telling me survey unavailable :( I hope you managed to get it Dnms!

    Afternoon all,

    Its a lovely (freezing cold) bright blue sky day here. Makes such a difference to my get up and go!

    Todays list
    * ys bread again for ds1s breakfast with eggs
    * ds2 to free school breakfast club
    * the frog at school I'd dealt with on Monday but left questions - now frog totally eaten :D:D
    * made the most of my gym membership with a class and refllled water bottle twice
    * brunch at home - omelette using up bits and pieces in the fridge
    * cancelled viewings as someones put down a holding deposit (hopefully all goes well as it will be another frog out of the way!)
    * spent an hour in the garden clearing leaves and straightening up - free exercise and it warmed me up!
    * washed a load on the quick 30 degree wash
    * £10 love2shop voucher came recorded delivery - that was quick!
    * rm surveys
    * cut open shampoo bottle as there is at least 4 days worth stuck at the bottom

    Still to do
    :idea: make a chicken curry for tonights meal as the chicken needs using up done
    :idea: clean kitchen using stardrops/washable cloths
    :idea: radiator shuffle washing ready for switching heating on once the kids are home done
    :idea: make families lunches for tomorrow done
    :idea: run the dishwasher on the quick wash done
    :idea: check banking /update spreadsheet & email back to myself as a back up done
    :idea: measure up for a piece of furniture that I might keep rather then send to the cs from the rental house will fit and probably be more comfortable then what we currently have, just need to convince dh now!
    :idea: update freezer inventory & use up box so I remind myself what there is done and in the use up box was a simplyc00k box to make a nyonya curry it was something my dad sent me (still another 3 different packs in the use up box!) I've kept putting off using it as although it had the spice mixes in, I didn't have green beans or chicken thighs in to use as per the recipe - so today I've made it using the cooked chicken I already had, added in onion, peas, peppers and sweetcorn instead of the green beans, chopped up big spuds instead of halving new potatoes and it smells and tastes lovely! Its a never to be repeated concoction though!! :cool:

    Thats my starter, have a good day all.
    Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
