(I will have to get a replacement phone sometime, lol)
Can't believe this was manufactured 9 years ago, used every day, still on it's original battery!
Any ideas on the best nearly new (3,4 yo model)? I'm happy with android but if anyone's had a later I phone that blew their socks off let me know 👌😀

  • Hi All,
Just had a good binge read FTD and loving the diary, I have just cancelled three Now TV subscriptions? :o I didn't even realise three were going out totalling £23.97 and my amazon prime account which I should be getting a small refund from £7.99 so going to stick that straight on the CC whilst I am motivated lol....It's amazing how these little things mount up, I've just printed a postage label to return a top that I bought and had sat in the draw (£18) so I am feeling very motivated today.

I am getting my dad an airfryer for fathers day, usually I would buy it for him but I have called my 2 sisters and asked if we want to chip in and get him a joint present so I hopefully will spend a bit less this year. No idea on DSF yet though ! Hope everyone is well, the rain has stopped and it looks to be brightening up for the day here ! :)
    Thanks for stopping by @Lookafterthepennies2020
It's amazing when you start looking at where all your money goes, the little surprises you find you're paying for that
    1. you could get cheaper
    2. you don't use and could cancel
It's been an eye opening experience for me for sure.
Was the chip (in) pun intended? 😂

Looks like it has finally brightened up here too, better late than never!

DW works next door to her work so early april I encouraged her to nip in & bring office chair home; her best move to date; dining / kitchen chairs are no good; I feel your (back) pain!

Airfryer is a good idea; shaving stuff never goes amiss; trust me, if its a good razor, saving foam etc. Packaging & gift sets dont matter a crap to most men! Men like tools too, stuff like a Dremel you can get (replica) in Lidls for £15 or £50+ for the branded one; not worth paying the difference imho. Garden stuff; im always running out of lawn feed, again if its off the shelf its fine, throw in a pair of nice socks or a quality 6 pack or beer and its all good  ;)
I wish I had bought my office chair home but now it's being used by somebody else so I can't even go in and take it.  Mr FTD has his own computer chair from our home office but he's obviously using it.

Some good gift ideas there, I'll share them with the mother in law and see if there's anything he needs...they literally buy stuff whenever they need it so buying gifts for either of them is sooo difficult.  I always like to buy meaningful gifts so that it's not a waste of money or just clutter for their house.

I'm a bit biased to iPhone but I have heard really good things about the Huawei phones?  Guess it depends what you're using it for?  Is it literally just a phone for calls/messages or are you using it for web browsing/photography etc?

I'm not a fan of the Newer Samsung the batteries never last more than a couple of years. I have a huawei p20 pro and that's been good so far. Had it almost 2 years and battery is still going strong and the camera is fab! I much prefer android to apple. But that's my personal preference.

    Ty.

I talked to 2 different tech guys who say Huawei use really good build quality to establish their brand; i'm on a huawei tablet. Their phones seem really strong too; it might well be my choice. All the other brand's materials come from China these days anyway; it just depends how much they want to spend on quality. I can tell you as a fact that it doesn't cost £1000 to build an i-phone 10😂
