Wobbling my way out of debt

How have we all been?
There has been a wobble - a pretty big one.. we got approved for a loan to buy a new car (new to us, not brand new)
We booked to go to the bank a few days later to sign the agreement but had some grown up chats in the time between getting the loan agreed and our appointment where we talked about how nice it has been not owing anyone and being able to build up decent savings for the first time in our relationship. Once we talked it through, we decided to pull out of the loan and just continue as we are, building savings and not owing money to anyone.
Actually feels good to have made that decision.
I did notice our credit score is looking a little wobbly where we don't owe anything so have decided we are going to buy something for the house on interest free credit, we could buy it outright from our savings but it's nice to show we can still use credit sensibly.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

It's been a while but we are still here, let me share an update - it's not all good but it isn't crazy bad either.
So in May, we bought a new mattress - first time we have ever had a brand new mattress in our nearly 15 years together. We paid a small deposit on this and the rest on interest free credit. (knowing that we could pay it off today if wanted to as we have savings)
This month has also been super expensive, we've replaced a very old tumble dryer which took all day and several attempts to dry one load of washing.
The car (same old car, we haven't replaced) had an MOT (which it failed) and a service.
Yesterday we bought a new sofa, ours we've had for nearly 6 years but we bought it online and it takes over our whole living room. My sister has agreed to take ours for her new house and we've bought one that is smaller and will suit our living room a lot more.
With all that said, a lot of spending, we still have just over £5k in savings which we are continuing to build up. I think we're done with big spends for now (hopefully I haven't jinxed myself)
Hope you're all keeping well and continuing on your own journeys.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Well, what a mess these energy prices are nowadays!
My bill is practically doubling every month, glad I got rid of the debt when I did otherwise I'd be really panicking.
I'm definitely going to be prolonging putting the heating on until it is actually really cold, might get a little tough given I'm still work from home and I sit in a draughty location but I'll just have to put a blanket over my lap.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time
