Just out of interest did you build up any savings or focus on clearing the debt, I always doubt which way I'm going lolPennies starts again...........2022 - £13,579.221

@Lookafterthepennies2020 it was a bit of both, I tried to get savings up to £1000 and maintain that as I felt that would cover me if my washing machine broke or something like that. There were months where I didn't add to household savings but saved for Christmas or outings. Once I paid the interest bearing loan off in August last year, I started to put more in to savings and paid chunks off the interest free CC balance. I just worked month to month, as the budget would vary depending on things like how many weeks were between pay days, if I had to pay my car tax, if it was a council tax free month, birthdays/celebrations etcWobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Thank you it's interesting to hear how people approach it
I think next things for me is to clear the high interest cc, then some savings, then back to overpaying. Thanks for sharing
