Just a tiny payday update from FTD HQ, did the spontaneous CC payment today instead of waiting until it's nearly due...........wait for it.......paid £400 today! Taking me to a nice round £2k on the CC now, loan payment is due tomorrow but I do believe I may have tipped in to the 80% debt paid category after tomorrow!!
Hopefully the big payment won't leave me short at the end of the month but I think I'll be ok, it's not like we're going anywhere fancy at the moment.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

😂 yeah, weekend b4 last wasn't great. I had some lovely shorts on Sat with mixers but post diet day today i'm feeling awful: if i'm committing to the diet it seems the only ethanol I'll use will be @ 70% to wipe my hands on the way into tesco😂
You won't know what to do with yourself when you've it all paid!

Definitely stick to the ethanol and you can also get a fix from mouthwash unless you're using alcohol free?!
I thought the same this morning, I was thinking what would the £965that I'm paying on debt this month get me when the debt is all gone.
Ha! I was so excited about tipping in to 80% overall debt paid, I didn't realise my overall debt would tip in to £5k bracket tomorrow (I literally never look at the overall number, it's always been about the next bracket for the pesky loan)
I said to Mr FTD this morning that next month is a special month as we tip the loan in to the £2k bracket! £2k!!!!!!! I can't even tell you how this makes me feel, maybe a little emotional to be honest as pretty much my whole adult life I've been in debt of one kind or another.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Oh dear! I've had a little setback, seems I got over excited about tipping in to 80% paid - sadly I'm only at 79.5 % debt paid...frustrating!
Just updated the signature, next month sees us:- Tip the loan in to the £2k bracket - how can that be when it started off at £23k!!!
- Overall debt amount tips in to the £4k bracket
- I will definitely tip the over 80% debt paid

Over 80% of the debt repaid is brilliant. Only 7 months left means presumably it will be gone by January. Will you be able to clear the credit card by then too? What a great start to 2021 that would be.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Thanks for stopping by @enthusiasticsaver
The last payment is due to be made on New Year's Day so will likely be 5th Jan by the time the bank hols are out of the way.
If my relative continues to make repayments to me for the money they borrowed (which is the whole credit card balance) I should be able to clear this on exactly the same day meaning that ALL the money in my January pay will be mine.
As I am topping up the amount they pay me, I will also benefit from additional money for 4 months as the current repayment clears the balance in May next year. (hopefully that makes sense)Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Thanks for stopping by @missymoo81 it certainly doesn't feel real that I could be that close to being debt free, I keep thinking I'm going to slip now as I just can't imagine a life without repaying debt. (excluding my mortgage)Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Not really a DFW update, more a 'this could change my journey' update...got to take the car to the garage today, it's potentially a write off.... the mechanic is looking at it on Monday, so I won't know for sure until then.Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

Oh no! If it's a write off, do you have a plan of how to get another car? Fingers crossed its salvageableDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)
