My ex MIL (always the MIL, huh?) has over the years bought me some horrific gifts. However, the one that REALLY stands out is the weight loss dvd. Geez, thanks, b**ch!

My OH had made a huge fuss of what he was getting me for the xmas day years ago, it was a massive beautifully wrapped and could not wait....after a long time of unwrapping (so many hints for a black leather jacket thought it would be that) it was....a netball:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:why? because 'you used to play netball at school' a few days later I made him go out with me and get me the leather jacket while the netball lingered in the box forever:rotfl:

This isn't christmas related but I so have to share any way!

A couple of years ago my now husband ... brought me for valentines day ... a bottle of oven cleaner!!! He said it wasn't my fault ... the valentines sign in sainsburies pointed down that aisle.

Thank fully he also got me a card and box of chocolates otherwise he might not have been my husband right now!!

Mine would be a naff ornament of a red indian chief given to me by my ex, It cost over £200, and apparently was "highly collectible" by whom the blind? Anyway when we split, I gave it to the local charity shop, I sent my ex a picture message of it in the shop window, she sent me over 200 texts asking where the shop was!

The worst I have given, is a pair of bed socks, to exs mother who was in hospital after having a leg amputated. All the relatives around the bed were horrified at my thoughlessness, however ex mil found it hilarious.

  • pmsl! theres some really funny ones here! love the alopecia and amputation ones!

on our 1st xmas in our house i asked my dh to get me suprises. i was really happy when he got me a cd player for upstairs, a dove bath set (i love dove) and the final present was a HUGE make up case filled with a million or so products.
it looked really nice but i hadnt the heart to tell him the label said for ages 7-12! the nail varnishes were peelable!! bless him he tried!
i used it that xmas not to hurt his feelings and 10minutes later all the eyeshadow had disappeared!

my mums worst present was from my stepdad last year. he got her a copy of her registration plates and on both ends of the number there is a silouette (sp?) of a naked arched back lady with nipples on show then its says babe on board underneath.
she was happy that he thinks of her that way but she says how can she put them on the car when shes a 50year old granma of 5 with a dodgy back!
