  • Hi Guys,

So I received mail through the post from my old address from excel saying that a CCJ has been issued against me ( dated in july)

End of August I have had a location confirmed for court. But havent got a date etc....

Is this just the scare tactic they are trying to use?
    Thank you

I don't understand the question. How can a hearing location be a scare tactic?

Have you emailed Excel a data rectification notice to erase that old address?

Well, that's confusing! You've had a CCJ awarded against you by who? Did you go to small claims court and lose? Did Excel include the judgment order in their letter? You've had a CCJ awarded against you (allegedly) but you have a court set presumably to hear the same case????
  • Yes I sent them a recorded letter confirming my new address....
I received an email from them saying I have had a ccj awarded against me from there dcbl/ collectors team....
but months later at end of august received an actual letter from court confirming the location of where my hearing will be.

Thats what makes me feel they are just wanting payment but I will go by the mail I have received from court confirming my new hearing location from a few days ago

    Thank you

The courts emailed you the location?

But you have not yet had the local court's order telling you a hearing date and when to get your ws & evidence in?

What is the exact contents of their email? It could be significant if they are making false claims.
  • Sorry it was mailed to me at my new address around 2 weeks ago
