  • Unless I have mis-read. It says send a copy to the court and a copy to the claimant,

Is this a scanned digital copy or a letter to them with a copy

    Thank You

To the court - scan is fine
To the claimant - if you have their permissinon to Serve via email, then email. If not, hard copy. Only you know this.
  • Am I okay to ask the claimant company whether I can email them a copy?

or shall I just send the letter hard copy to their HQ address?

I shall scan the DQ to the court

    Thank You

You know exactly which address to use for the Claimant's copy - it's on your Claim Form.

Return your completed DQ to the CCBC in the same manner and to the same email address that you sent your Defence. Refresh you memory on that by re-reading post #53 above.

Spencer - why ask us that?
You can find out yourself, for certain.
    no need for repeated questions.
  • I have been assigned the court I requested... This came through the post confirming so.

Do I just wait for a date? when do I start a witness statement?

May be a daft question but was I meant to issue the parking company a copy of my defence?

    Kind regards

Post #2 there covers court cases right through to th ehearing and answers your questions above
  • My daughter recieved a PCN fron Excel over three years ago. They alleged that she hadnt displayed a ticket. She rang Excel to challenge this and their verbal response was that she had displayed a ticket but that it was invalid.
She then requested photographic evidence and they sent her a photo of her registration plate.
She ignored the charge notice and heard nothing until now more than three years later.
She then received a CCJ from Northampton requesting payment followed by a letter from Excel explaining the CCJ and demanding £185 to be paid within seven days or the bailiffs would be sent to collect it!
She feels very aggrieved that this pressure is creating so much stress when she is certain that the ticket was paid for and displayed. She suffers from fibromyalgia and wants to pay whilst we think she should challenge it.
She got the CCJ on 14th August 2019
Please help with best advice for her to resolve this.

Has she ignored a court claim, receiving a CCJ as a consequence, if so she's got an uphill struggle not to pay this.

Or are you using the acronym 'CCJ' incorrectly? At this stage accuracy of terminology is paramount!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
