What's the best way to clean glass shower doors?
Mine have sticky droplet marks all over them, I've tried several different solutions without success. Does anyone have any tips, please?
We've used the 'spray before you leave' stuff but it doesn't help.
Thanks in advance

The droplets are hard water deposits, try spraying on a solution of vinegar/water and wiping it off with a soft cloth. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I have heard of people spraying their shower enclosures with stuff from Halfords which you can get to put onto car windscreens to encourage water to run off. Apparently it's very good for stopping the water marks on your shower screen from forming. Sorry, can't remember what this stuff is called...0

a good way to stop these forming is to use a squeegy (obviously not the technical name!) to clear the water off the glass after use.
Lakeland do one - but at almost £8 it is expensive, I am sure there are cheaper versions out there. It is amazing the difference this makes to the amount of cleaning the doors require.
hthr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

After suffering a spotty door for ages, I use Astonish Hob cleaner which is about 85p for a tub from several cheap shops. Works like a charm for me.

Or Sainbury etc around 20p a bottle.
Empty the kettle, pour in a bootle of vinegar.
WATCH the keetle as it starts to boil. DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED IT WILL BOIL OVER AND SHORT OUT THE KETTLE.
Use a washing up brush with a long handle to apply to showers, taps etc.
Remove scaled droppers from taps and drop them into the kettle.
Plug sinks and pour in enough to cover the plug.
Leave for 15 minutes, rinse down.
Rinse kettle.
All like new!Seth.0 -
Thanks for all your replies.
I'm going to give the tips a try and let you know how I get on.
For now, thanks
