  • Evening everyone

I had quite a lazy day but still managed an hour of swimming and my 10 000 steps.

Cranky, sorry to hear about your neigbour! Even when we think we are prepared we never are, aren't we?

SLowdown, I think it it is so helpfull to have a time frame, otherwise we just go "oh, no problem I didn't lost much this week, I'm not in a hurry, no need to focus more next week...." I have already planned all my holidays for this year, so I have a goal for my first ones in May and then see if I acchieve it and plan the next one for Summer hols.

Zafiro, hope you start feeling better soon!

Congratulations to everyone who lost and to the 3lb gain club, don't think too much about it and move one, with a bit of luck they go as quikcly as they came!

    My plan today:
B bread with almond spread, pear
L barley soup, bread with soft cheese
D spinach and tomato quiche, greens
S half a pepper and a spoonfull of cottage cheese
    E 1 hour swim, 10 000 steps

I'm doing W€ight W@tchers and this just adds up to all my dailys. Will see if I crafe something sweet later on and might have some chocolate, if not I^ll sit on my weeklies as I can use them very well this week.

    Have a lovely evening!

  • Zafiro, hope your aren't hopping around for too long. Well done for the forward thinking and only having to microwave meals.

Dumpling, it's great you have a positive attitude. And one good day does lead to another. I've had two in a row as well. Perhaps it will be as Ricardasays and we'll lose all 3lbs this week. I'm hoping so.

Today I stuck to 1400 calories again

    B- grilled tomatoes on toast
L- homemade tomato soup and bread with 30g cheese
S- veggie curry, small amount of rice
Snacks - banana, Apple with a bit of peanut butter on

I went for a swim today again. That's 3 in a row. Did some gardening too. The sunshine is such a motivator.

So, here's hoping tomorrow goes just as well. I'm off out with a friend for the day so it'll be lunch out. I am going to make wise choices though.

Good luck in the coming week everyone. :)

    Morning

Forgot to post weigh in on sat which was -1 lb. I had a wobbly start this week with visitors staying but got back on it when they left. I am a creature of habit and once routine changed I struggled but ok now. Good luck for week ahead.
  • Morning everyone

Just popping in to report a 1lb gain this week.

I think I know why - we enjoyed a few glasses of wine on a couple of nights during the week. Also I've had some problems controlling my blood sugars in the last few days, which means having to eat carbs to avoid a bad hypo.

Still feeling upbeat though and am sure will lose something next week. Off to do our morning mile now and hopefully will do about 3 miles this afternoon. Also got some stuff to be getting on with in the garden.

    B Black coffee
L Ham and salad on wholemeal, banana
D Spanish chicken, broccoli, few baby potatoes, very small slice hm lime cheesecake

Cranky, sorry to hear about your neighbour. No matter how long a life someone's had and how much it's expected it's never easy.

Well done to the +3lb club for getting back to it so quickly. It's something I really struggle with and any kind of gain is likely to throw me completely off track completely.

Mrs Lottie and Dandy, I always struggle with sticking to a plan on holiday as well - last year I managed to put on half a stone in 2 weeks - but I think that dealing with having a little more to lose is often preferable to spending your time away worrying about calories.

Zafiro, I hope you're on the mend and not hopping for too long.

It's another -2.5lb for me this week, which I'm very happy with. There have been a few days where I've really struggled and ended up eating more than I should but also a couple of days where I've ended up only having one meal, so they've kind of balanced each other out. I also didn't drink much this weekend, 2 and a half pints on Friday, which I think helped.

I know that I really should try to eat more consistently but I figure that what I'm doing at the moment is probably still slightly better for me than giving into the urge to eat the entire contents of my kitchen in one sitting.

Best of luck to all for the week ahead.

    Good morning everyone,

It's a lovely day here and I have my sister visiting later so I am looking forward to today. I was very hungry when I woke up early this morning so I demolished the last of the chicken salad that was in the fridge. This has kept me full up for hours surprisingly so I may consider having salad for breakfast more regularly :D.

Well done Izadora, that is a good loss. I agree that holidays are for having a good time and you can worry about the calories when you come home.
zafiro, I hope you are well on the road to recovery, glad the operation went well and the hospital sounded nice too.

hatful of hollow - a pound is nothing in the grand scheme of things and it is more important to keep your blood sugars stable. Your menu today sounds delicious.

Well done all you losers :rotfl:, I hope to join you at the end of the week.

    My menu today is:
    b - chicken salad
l - jacket potato and tuna
d - beef chilli, wedges and salad
    s - apple

Hope you all have a great day and the sun is shining where you are xx

  • Hello Everyone,

Cranky.... I just opened the message you sent to me inviting me over to this thread. I think you sent it in January. Where are we on this weight loss challenge ? Is it still going ? How many weeks left so I can work out my goal.

So lately I have gained alot of weight ... Mainly because I've been studying, working, being mum ect ... alot to juggle and I have gone for easy food and take aways far too often.

Anyway ... I've tried Slimming world... I don't have time to cook 3 meals and struggle as I don't want cooked meals. I found Weight Watchers quite confusing. I truely just want to be able to have cereal, sanny and fruit and a home cooked dinner. Kind of old style ... so I'm in the perfect place.

I would like to join in if youve got room for one more.
  • Hi Everyone,

Well, I'm another who has put on weight -+4lb since Valentine's Day. Not good at all but hopefully a lot is water weight with eating carbohydrates again. So back to the straight and narrow. I will post every day as I am sure that keeps me more focussed.

It's another beautiful day here and I'm off for a walk with a friend and her dog shortly. I've already played tennis and had a short walk this morning and am already up to 10,000 steps. So with this afternoon's walk and work this evening I shall probably manage over 20,000. I'm at work at 4.15 today so shall be taking a packed meal with me.

Lunch: Prawns and mushrooms in a creamy garlic sauce on courgette noodles with red and yellow peppers and broccoli.
Tea: Chicken and avocado salad with mayonnaise.
Treats: Half a small bar of dark chocolate. Piece of Brie.

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely sunshine. It's so good to see all the snowdrops and crocuses everywhere. Yesterday, I noticed the daffodils are nearly out and some early flowering trees are starting to open.

I've caught up with all the past posts well done to all those who have lost. I hope to join you soon.
I got on the scales today - a weight gain but I don't want to record it as my feet and ankles are a huge size and I can't get my shoes on - I'm hoping it's a fluid gain of at least 2lb :D:D:D

Lunch:- lettuce with a smattering of prawns and mackerel, 2 satsumas and an apple.
Dinner:- haggis (again) I love haggis and it's the last one from the freezer, veg
OOPS:- 2 pieces of coffee and walnut cake this afternoon.
