I was attacked for having a foreign sounding username (it's Germanic), and definitely treated differently due to my accused foreigner status.

Where? Nowhere I see though it's been pointed out that foreigners have been trying to influence other countries politics - you know, as in Russian interference that so many carped on about for a while.
If you're treated differently it might well be because you seem to do nothing much other than try to deceive.
Such imagination as you show in your posts lends itself well to fiction, perhaps you should think about publishing?

I've never confirmed my place of birth, beyond having lived in Glasgow for nearly 40 years and having a British passport, but that's never stopped the xenophiles trying to imply I'm not allowed a say.
You're the one stirring the pot by dodging questions, misleading, and suggesting fictional things like implying you're not allowed a say.
I've never seen what you suggest here but you carry on, your shoulder must ache with the weight of that chip.
I think you really ought to read what a xenophile is BTW. ;)

Where am I from? It doesn't matter, I can vote here.
Good for you, I presume it'll be postal since the impression you give is that you don't get out much?
Errr I’ve been reading this thread for years - you made out you were a foreigner, now it turns out you’re Scottish and about as foreign as I’m Irish. Which I’m not, but my parents were.

    How you HAMISH?

He always posts as if he knows everything that is going to happen in the future too.

Despite being a prolific poster here and elsewhere he insists that he's a higher-rate taxpayer too.

Is the reality an awkward out-of-work type living in a room at his parents, because that's the impression I get?
Who am I and "where am I from? It doesn't matter" - even if you are trying to deliberately mislead, that's the problem with an open forum.

He said, she said. All I see is a lot of bickering.

Then do your bit and stop.
What's going to happen will happen no matter what you think about it and all you're doing with your childish name-calling is creating animosity.
Don't you think there's been quite enough of that these past three years or so?
It really is time to stop.

Is anyone putting off buying because of brexit? The real brexit is in december and possibly with no trade deal which could cause a recession.

I'm considering buying soon but it seems a bit mad when there could be quite a serious reduction in house prices just around the corner.

That view doesn’t seem to be reflected in market trends at the moment.
What makes you think you know better than the rest of the market?

No matter what happens we will be in a worse position than we are. It's hard to believe that will have no effect on house demand or prices.

Except we aren’t an independent country until next Friday. We are a state in a federal system. The country is the European Community. It has a President, a Parliament, a flag, a national anthem and it’s own legal system.

Nobody in Britain voted to be part of that EVER.

    You’re the one who’s deluded.

What part of independence are you missing today that you will have after Brexit?

ps. English is not my first language.

So that means pretty much everyone with a job is a sock puppet?

I do what my boss wants done, my lawyer does what I tell him, my plumber does what I tell him and so on?

Exactly and thank you for confirming my point. As I said, he's not negotiating.

There is a good chance the Bank of England will reduce interest rates by one quarter of one percent. The pundits were sure it was going to happen soon but some economic data this week makes it unlikely this month.

However when (not if, say the experts, and what do they know, well a lot more than me) it happens it will influence mortgage rates which “might” effect the housing market.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

He is negotiating, that's his job.

You mean he cant be negotiating because he's been given guidelines by his employer?
