It’s kind of irrelevant now because the backstop no longer exists but no I’d don’t think your argument stands up.0

We're not blocking it, we're just asking for (a) some details and (b) what was promised.Perhaps if said whingers had actually got a coherent plan that they themselves could agree on it might be a different story
The Remainers have a coherent plan: Negotiate a deal (done now), ask the people what they think of the deal (just like Jacob Reese Mogg suggested in 2016), implement that.
We're at a deadlock because no deal is going to make everyone happy, we need to decide who we want to upset and get on with it.0 -

B. The Deal is called
The Modified withdrawal agreement/transition period/modified Political Declaration.
I have seen and tried to read the +60 pages that will modify the +500 pages of the Withdrawal agreement.
Has anyone a link to the modified Political Declaration and do they know what parts were modified? There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

I don't know, but this guy looks pretty upset to me: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7584017/Nigel-Farage-says-DELAY-Brexit-leave-Boris-Johnsons-new-deal.html0 -
Looks like there is an amendment to the vote on Johnson's deal that stops the deal being passed until after 31/10:-

No, it doesn't state that at all.
It clearly is more of an insurance policy, just in case we accidently leave with no deal on 31/10.
If a deal is passed tomorrow, it just makes sure everything will go through without going over the cliff edge.
It's just making sure the ERG get on board with the deal.
We're still leaving Oct 31st.Ryan0 -

According to her Johnson will be forced to ask for an extension if the legislation does not get through by 31/10?That, in light of the new deal agreed with the European Union, which enables the United Kingdom to respect the result of the referendum on its membership of the European Union and to leave the European Union on 31 October with a deal, this house has considered the matter but withholds approval unless and until implementing legislation is passed.0 -
