Hasn't it gone quiet now that a deal's been reached? Next the votes, but even some EU sources are suggesting that Boris has played a bit of a blinder because even if (and it is "if") parliament rejects it the tories are almost guaranteed a substantial win in any GE which would no doubt come soon afterwards. Ergo the result would still be a vote to accept the deal, so voting no would only delay the deal and see many MP's lose their seats even sooner!

Seems that way at the moment but the Tories were pretty confident they'd increase their majority at the last election too. Right until the exit polls came out at 10pm.

If Boris was playing a blinder he wouldn't keep losing parliamentary votes.

I don't want to go into it too much in case it tips the leave voters off, but they aren't playing the game they think they are.

But not so long back, the EU were ruling out re-opening the withdrawal agreement...

The EU hasn't said that at all.

Your supposed insider knowledge is a bit 'off'. Like you said earlier, "not long to go now" before we see who's right.

Boris needs to have meetings with ERG, expelled Tory rebels and get the word to Labour leave mps to have any chance of getting this through.

I've heard that the DUP aren't quite out of it yet. They are having meetings with business leaders over the next few days.

Jeremy Corbyn said he wasn't going to vote for it, even before they released the papers.

I see Farage wants an extension. I think he enjoys his gravy train EU job too much.

Surely even if you voted for remain or leave, this deal is a way to move forward.

Reality is that the EU itself doesn't want a no deal. Nor wishes to extend discussions further. It's make your mind up time. Politicians of all parties now need to think very carefully as to what they do next. As they could alienate themselves for a generation. Being intransigent is no longer an option.

The disinformation you're receiving is obviously working.

Boris has played a good game.

He wants one so much he is carefully misrepresenting what Jean Claude Juncker said & what the Benn act means.
