    Exactly.

I also recall the transition period was [STRIKE]Britain’s[/STRIKE] Theresa May's idea. [STRIKE]The U.K.[/STRIKE] Theresa May wanted 2 years and the EU agree on 21 months.
    Corrected that for you.
Just like so many say Boris doesn't speak for the whole UK so it definitely was with May, that's why she got booted out.

Proof that the imagined "Boris lying" as remainers earlier here insist is actually most likely a set-up by a known Labour activist:

There's a separate devoted thread elsewhere in the forum if anybody is really interested in debating the pro's & con's rather than point-scoring which seems prevalent with remainers in this thread, but basically it is agreed that Boris did not lie in that confrontation.

More evidence that the remainers have been spinning yarns and the allegations of purely negative economic forecasts are lies:

Combine that with decent wage rises and the public have something to be cheerful about, just before Brexit too.

"Japanification" is on it's way. As Merkel once said. There are 3 important numbers. 7, 25 and 50.

7 is the % of the worlds population living in Europe

25 is the % of world GDP

50 is the % of global social spending.

Europe will have to work very hard to maintain it's prosperity and way of life.

Did he say anything that was wrong? Did Boris somehow not lie because he was confronted by a labour activist?

    That is pretty offensive

It shouldn't matter whether you are a well known Labour activist or not, if you are in hospital with your sick child and it's dangerously understaffed and the prime minister walks past with a press entourage then you should not feel like you should keep quiet about it.

Out of the two I certainly don't have any sympathy for Boris' lost press opportunity.

I wonder how you determined it was likely a setup, when it was Boris who chose to be there.

What's "pretty offensive" is using your sick child in any way.
Using your sick child for your own personal ambitions no matter what they are is abhorrent.

There are very clear procedures to complain in hospitals but no, this father just wanted to have a go in public because his nemesis was there & he knew there wasn't a thing Boris could do.
