Another pro-Brexit businessman has put his money where his mouth is I see.

Yup - he's moving to Monaco by the sounds of it.

Or do you mean the joint venture between the taxpayer and Ineos? Good news that - 200 new jobs. Shouldn't be a shortage of applicants - Ford close their engine plant next door with the loss of 1700 jobs next year.

Oh what a surprise that good news for the country is immediately either dismissed or derided by the frothing remainers with the usual fibs thrown in for good measure just to make the derision appear worthy.

That old Guardian-touted lie from last year.
    Where does he actually live?
    Chelsea & Hampshire.

So Sir Jim invests £600 million of his own dosh and the Welsh Government funding is rumoured to be £13 million?
Hardly a 50/50 joint venture then.
Jobs will rise to 500 or so too, obviously depending upon how sales take off.

Of course, if he'd have said "S@d the Welsh, we'll build our factory in Derby" some nutjobs would still not be happy.
And if he'd said "S@d the Welsh, we'll build our factory in Singapore" - well just imagine the outrage!

I remember the lies about Dyson heading off to Singapore too.

Well yes, we're dealing with rumours because the government (Welsh & UK) don't want to let on just how much taxpayers money they're ponying up. Surprised any incentives were needed - given the glorious brexit just around the corner you'd think companies would be fighting to build factories on the sunlit uplands.

If new car industry jobs are a thumbs up for brexit Britain then thousands of job losses are a thumbs down. You can't have it both ways.

It saves time if we immediately dismiss the lies coming from leavers. We know they are just a stalling tactic & will evaporate after we leave. Might as well get it over and done with now.

If leavers wanted it any different they would not have gone on about "project fear". You reap what you sow.

Oh yes, the millions of unemployed ................
UK employment statistics September 2019 = 76.1% are in employment.
Germany employment statistics September 2019 = 75.9% in employment.

    UK unemployment latest = 3.8%
    EU unemployment latest = 6.3%

(Remember that EU law determines how the statistics are measured & must be done the same across all members. )

Any job losses are always a thumb down but with such high employment the numbers aren't exactly catastrophic.
Now Germany's tens of thousands of job losses announced recently by Daimler and VAG alone on the other hand ..........

At last you admit that anything posted which is even remotely pro-Brexit is dismissed as a lie whether it is an indisputable fact or not.
    :T
It's very brave of you to admit such a dishonest approach to debate in these forums so openly; no wonder so many don't even bother trying to debate here.

Ah, the acceptable losses theory. I guess if you paint all unemployed as lazy then it doesn't matter if you make a decision that causes someone to lose their job, if you then blame them for not having a job.

Brexit has caused uncertainty, which had meant that instead of making long term investments, some companies are making short term hiring decisions. This makes them less efficient in the long run and once they know what brexit holds, will either move their entire work force out of the UK or scale back the levels and invest in efficiency. In other words, the figures you are proud of are caused by us not leaving yet.

The way that job amplification works, you don't need to lose too many jobs from an area before it topples like dominos.

    You know that right?

Funny that brexiteers don't talk about Dyson that much now - wonder why? Sir Jim on his way to Monaco too.

I hope that clown from Wetherspoons does one too.

That is the point, you haven't provided any indisputable facts.

I'll remind you again about project fear. Not one of leavers better moments & until that stops being repeated, we're at stalemate. It's like the negotiations in Brussels
