  • If you Google 'Boris Johnson lies' quite a selection appear.

    He can't be trusted.

As for the ERG - why not start with the name - they're not a research group.

If you google 'Jeremy Corbyn lies' you get tons of hits too. He can’t be trusted either.

They're both brexiteers, so can't be trusted.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Thats because hes not actually had a job other than in politics.
  • Hes a politician - can any of them be trusted?

But seriously, do I think hes a liar because he promoted 350million on a bus without saying "gross" instead of quoting a net figure? Lets flip it on its head - how about Corbyn "I have never met with the IRA" - oh but pictures of me with known IRA members dont count.

You asked if there was any evidence that Boris Johnson had lied. You could've googled 'Boris Johnson lies' as invited and seen it for yourself - literally reams of lies, untruths and let downs and all you can do is try and pretend his career of deceit comes down to whether he should have said net or gross on a bus.

Also finding evidence that other politicians may not be entirely honest does not make it OK for the PM to look the public straight in the eye and lie. Why would you think it does?
ERG - perhaps you need to do research. They were originally set up in the 90s by Eurosceptic Tories (in the true sceptic sense) to research how integration in the EU was affecting the UK.

The ERG consist of people who have made their minds up. Their only interest in research is to seek out that which confirms their biases. I think most people know this but it's really handy for brexiters to have some 'evidence' of the future sunlit uplands given the preponderance of evidence for the opposite.

It's obviously impossible trying to debate sensibly with such a fixation on the negative that ignores all current accepted fact.
There was no "corrupt decision" other than in the febrile imaginations of a few sorry souls who have decided that because they didn't like the result of the referendum they want to ignore the result and so reject democracy.

Making up such stories and then insisting they are factual when they are not is certainly not what "good people" do.

I do hope you're attempting irony here?

You seem to have forgotten the "sunlit uplands" that we can look forwards to. The "easiest trade deals in human history"? The "we hold all the cards"? The "they need us more than we need them"? and on and on and on......

I rather suspect you think a lying politician wearing a red tie provides an excuse for a lying politician wearing a blue tie. A bit depressing really but thanks for making it so obvious - saves the hassle of taking you seriously.

Boris was sacked from the shadow cabinet by Michael Howard for lying. Pretty sure that was a political job.

What job has he actually held. Never promoted off the back benches to hold a ministerial role.

Proof of that please saying that Boris lied?
Because no he wasn't, he was sacked for not being open about a (private) affair.

If we're going to play the fairness card we could ask why wasn't Corbyn sacked for his affair with Diane Abbott?
