Rather than being a bunch of ill tempered, racist thugs, threatening journalists and camera crews.

We’re a broad church.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -
They were far too busy taking selfies, waving their virtue flags, and trying to find a descent vegan caramel and strawberry frappuccino, to cause trouble...
Why shouldn't a protest be a happy fun thing instead of an angry, threatening affair? You'd probably get more moderates to turn up to pro-brexit events if you could curb the rabid right wingers.
I went to a G8 protest a few years back and the atmosphere was amazing; felt more like a festival or gala day than a flag burning.0 -
This is how the EU could end any uncertainty. Refuse any extension & force the Governments hand. Agree the deal, Cancel A50 or leave with no deal. No messing about with General Elections. No waiting for a second referendum. You have 2 weeks to make up your mind. Come back & tell us which it is. Job done.
I agree and hopefully they will. But the fact that they are reluctant to do that is probably what gives some hard Brexiteers the impression that there are still chances to change the WA.
Maybe they are right, but someone is going to have to blink first pretty soon.0 -

Extensions are just more uncertainty. Im sure we could get one if wehad a clear plan, but i dont think theyll extend beyond the elections.
I wonder what happens with the tax avoidance directive that starts on April 1st. Do we ignore it? Implement it and then undo it?0 -
The EU will gladly fall over themselves to grant a 1 or 2 year extension, they're more frightened of an unknown future than any Brexit supporter. Why have one can-kicker when you can join forces and have 2?
That may be true. However, the possibility of ending up with 73 Nigel Farages (or Tommy Robinsons) in the EU Parliament way sway them.
How much damage could that do to the effective working of the EU?
If they threw us out, we could end up with a national government comprised of the same, but at least we'd be on the outside so it's not their problem.0 -
The worst thing that could ever happen now is an even longer extension
To extend the uncertainty would be devastating. Far better to just have no deal on April 12 take the pain and en get on with healing.
Pull the band aid off in one painful move then work on building trade deals, of which many are already in place.
Taking months more, or even years as some are suggesting will not only prolong the pain but make it much worse at the end of the extension.
It's going to be very very hard times for many, why not just rip the bandaid off no and then get over the pain instead of extending it and making it worse....Nothing has been fixed since 2008, it was just pushed into the future0 -
I don't know about democracy but they've certainly killed the definition of the word "meaningful"

Yes, the sooner we get out the sooner we can submit our application to return'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
I'm sure the EU really value the UK as a member now .... not !
How many bridges does membership give you? And how quickly can you burn a bridge?0
