But we don't actually know what their wishes are!
We do know they want to leave.
Agreed it’s a statement of fact we don’t know which deal the people want.
Shouldn’t this have all been debated/decided 3 years ago?
If we wanted the people to decide on the deal the we should have worked out what the options were and put it to them back then.
We are where we are.0 -

... and if you’re Jacob Rees-Mogg it’s apparently all right to change your mind, but the rest of us aren’t allowed that opportunity...0 -
we are where we are as you say
but hey, now we know a bit more, many people are saying that perhaps the "where we are" isn't where we want to be.
And, we don't have to be wedded to a bad decision, just because a decision was made
We could, for example ask again, now that we know what sort of deal we can actually get - or where we would be if there is no deal.
But many seem to want to insist that as a decision was taken three years ago, that's the end of it. Its as if they are worried that some people might have realised that it wasn't a good decision and they might not win second time around.0 -
The indicative votes that are happening today, should have happened the day after the referendum, easy to say with hindsight but these people are paid good salaries to think these things through.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080

Apart from we didnt know what kind of a deal was available at that time0 -

Very philosophical.
You'd no doubt think the same if your travel agent promised you a month in Barbados & you actually got a weekend in Cleethorpes.
Actually I’m booking a holiday right now and I can tell you that I am nailing down exactly what is included/exluded BEFORE hand.
I never said it was great, it’s disastrous #why do people twist things on here?
What I meant was we cannot change the question that was put in 2016 even though we could talk until the cows come home about how it was wrong. It has been done and many people feel very strongly they should get what they were promised (which was only leaving, it didn’t specifiy whether it was bag of crisps or a three course meal).0 -

So Rees Mogg is now ready to vote for May's deal. (if he gets a chance)
A deal that he described previously as the worst of all worlds, a state of vassalage, worse than remaining in the EU.
Unbelievable.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

No twisting here. The comment was simply to point out that any other transaction conducted in this way would have been thrown out under contract law.0
