That's why they are introducing direct ferries between Eire and France - so they can cut England out of the transit loop. It'll be quicker and cheaper than all goods needing to go through a WTO zone and 2 customs points.

    ROI need this anyway.

They can't rely on the cooperation of a neighbouring state which is outside the EU.

Any government change in the future could swing sentiment against, and having an over-reliance on road freight going through the UK is not robust.

I'd personally welcome the removal of Irish road freight off congested UK road space. I'm a fan of more shipping going to Liverpool port too. Road congestion costs the economy billions and we can't keep capacity up with demand.

Also do not forget, there is also an option of invading Ireland to be put on the negotiation table.

Has your medication been delayed already..?

I agree that Ireland needs the ferry bypass anyway. It's a waste to have to ship things via England, and the cause of a lot of road wear/congestion. Especially if these Tesla EV ferries take off.

I could get behind Mays deal as an explicit transition period with an checkpoint at the end where we can choose to go with the negotiated deal or unwind it, but I don't see that being wildly different from just extending the current negotiations by another year or so.

I'd love to see what'd happen if May tried to take an invasion of Ireland to the negotiating table. Would she be kicked out or laughed at?

France to block any A50 extensions without a clear purpose:

So more time without a Parliamentary agreement or convincing plan isn't going to happen, and neither should it.

Yes many things are simple. That is what the typical idiocy.

Are you a type of person who is living in the countryside, never travel and witness that the world is changing?? if not the you might need to broaden your horizon by traveling more to the other part of the world....The world is changing .

There are enough Russian Oligarch here in London who are much richer than you. In this country, financially they are contributing more than you through taxation.
Some people want to look great by commenting other people language.

But a person will look like an idiot by prototyping people.

So you really are a Russian troll. Your handlers will not be pleased that you have admitted it.

Can't really blame them. We've had about 30 months to come up with something so I'm not sure that another couple would make any difference. Someone needs to force the UK Gov into action.

Right, we're currently sitting there staring at the pot of pills marked leave and about to take the overdose. Someone needs to do something or we will take them.

I think that there are 4 reasons people voted leave

FOM, ECJ, fee and abllty of U.K. to make its own free trade agreements, probably it that order so I would have thought that at least some of them should be honoured.

You forgot infinite cake. The red bus doesn't make sense unless you have infinite cake.

Did anyone ever think we could do better trade deals with the rest of the world than Europe can? Does nobody see the irony that we are sabotaging our best trade deal ever to do it?

Hating the ECJ seems mostly about "send em back home to face torture" which we can't do because of our UN membership, although we could really destroy our country by going against "that group of foreigners telling us what to do"

Why don't you try posting something sensible for a change.
