Kept meaning to post over the weekend but never got round to doing it :o Had quite a busy w/e, on Sat met with a friend I've not seen for quite a while, she's had serious health issues and it lovely to see her looking well and feeling positive. Sunday was out with family for a coffee then walked to @sda to get some bits and deposit a load of recyclable plastic like bread and veg bags. Still plastic though and hoping to cut down on that this year. Very little work this week after a couple of busy weeks - just the way its worked out.

Sadly heard from my bestie over the weekend that her mum who I've known for years, was found dead. Its certainly not unexpected due to health and age but still a big shock for my friend and sad too. Has thrown me a bit as lots of reminders of what I had to do administratively after OH died.

Had another good online sale y'day so went out and posted that then picked up some pills for the cat. Quick look in one of the charity shops and got a book to add to the pile of unread books :o.

Its baltic today though looks bright, have put the heating on for now. If it warms up enough I'll head out a do a quick bit of tidying up in the garden and also have some violas to put in a pot at the front door as the brown and deceased current pot occupant is not attractive. I've a few snowdrops flowering which is cheery and the weeds have started sprouting in places too :(

Soup is made, no onions left so bunged in a whole leek and some carrot and sweet potato with lentils to thicken it. Definitely soup weather here. I've an online shop arriving this afternoon so veg supplies will be replenished. Might have a baked tattie for tea as have some big ones left from last shop.

Am doing a bit of work from home later and can then submit an invoice for the month which will help. My professional insurance is due next month so need to make sure I have enough to cover that in the account plus room rent. I'm going to ring a couple of other brokers to see if I can get the insurance for less. Another job for today is to try and get the wireless printer up and running again after the change of internet provider. Got a fianl bill from BeeTee and I'm owed a refund so that will help when it hits the account.

Off to look for the printer instructions.........

No not a flake here, did you have it? Was cold enough for snow though.

Managed to get the wireless printer working so, pleased with that. OH was the one into tech and setting things up so I just let him get on with it - should probably have paid more attention though. Took a while to get it sorted as the WPS button on the new router wouldn't flash when pressed which was what the instructions said should happen. In the end I employed the time honoured solution of switching everything off and on again and it worked. Yay :j

My work invoice is ready to submit in the morning and have arranged to meet someone on Friday for a potential new bit of work.

Sainsbo shopping delivered on time and all put away, didn't venture out to do any gardening as it remained bitterly cold. Had a few Prolific surveys in the last couple of days so if they are all approved will be up to around £20 again.

Chilled out this evening and watched TV

That's a great achievement, taking on the tech and winning - and don't be too hard on yourself for having left it to OH in the past, it only makes sense to specialise in that way. Just because you don't have the exact aptitude that OH did, doesn't mean you can't do it - as you've just proved :):):)
